I was watching the noon news and they said Burger King is going to offer a new sundae.
Its the Bacon Sundae. Vanilla custard, swirled with chocolate and caramel and bacon crumbles on top with a slice of bacon at the side.
The calories is 510.
What do you think will you be trying this item?
I love my bacon as I will get a BLT at Sonic.
But I am not so sure about bacon with chocolate and caramel along with ice cream.
I don't think this is an item that will make it for very long.

I am in agreement with your assessment of the duration of this new item.
Right now "bacon" is the new hot gourmet item, so I can understand their jumping on the bandwagon.
I may try this item just once because I love the sweet and salty combinations.
But, really, I love my bacon with JUST bacon. That's how it works best for me, with, perhaps the occasional egg, or as a BLT.

New York Mayor Bloomberg, who is exceeding any rightful authority he has is banning sugar, popcorn, soda, and whatever else he feels we might enjoy, as an elite globalist who thinks to govern is to rule, rather than to serve.
He should be much more concerned with removing the usurper in the WH and the threat of Islam from Ground Zero and then some that the clear and present danger of having that jihadist foreign and domestic enemy foments.
That is his sworn Constitutional duty, NOT telling Americans what they can eat.
Maybe he should join Nazi Pelosi in painting the grass green in some upscale mental facility.
He certainly shouldn't be mayor any longer.

You know maybe this is their way to tell the politicians that are trying to take foods away in their cities that they will just combine ice cream with a meat like bacon and they will think its healthy.
I hear someone in New York is trying to get sweet things banned.
I just cant see me eating bacon with ice cream.
But then I am not a big ice cream lover either.

I know that it's an internet thing about bacon going with anything,and that to an extent I'd agree..I Loves Me some bacon or sausage along with waffles and syrup..but I'm not sure about the sundae with a stick of bacon along with it!
You never can tell about how long it might last..they have to have done taste testings and focus group studies before releasing this,and gotten positive results first,right?

well i guess they figure its ok because most people are used to having bacon with maple syrup on pancakes and the like that this item will fly too.
i have heard of donuts with bacon pieces on them with maple glaze. i am not a huge fan of bacon anyways, so i highly doubt i would try it.

I agree with you 100%!
I watched a show where someone put put maple and bacon in their popcorn.
I was at the store last week and in the microwave popcorn section they really had it. Other than watching the show I had never heard of it and now bacon seems to be cropping up everywhere in everything.

Hi marie: I think this just sounds crazy. Though I am usually open to taste new meals and try new things I don't think bacon and something sweet could be a good combination. Probably I would give it a try but I am not sure about how good could this be 
.

Well I am a bacon girl over sausage, but not with ice cream.
maybe though its because I dont eat much ice cream anyway.

Bacon with ice cream? Your objections may be justified indeed!
Perhaps this is a "limited edition" product? Or they're trying it out to see if maybe it will stick. Perhaps it's weirdness is its selling point.
You just know you yourself probably will go have at least one of these :)

I love the flavor of bacon. And when I can get the maple flavored thats even better.
But the closest things to my mind for bacon is eggs, pancakes, waffles, or lettuce and tomato for the classic BLT.

I like bacon and ice cream, but not together! This is not for people that worry about their health, that's for sure! It's like stuffing cheese in the crust of a pizza, whatever they can do to make it worse for you, they do. I just can't imagine it tasting good enough to last very long.

I love bacon I will get a bacon double cheese thin crust pizza from Dominoes once every couple of months.
the pizza is so light from the thin crust and being crispy.
My son and I both love it and will eat a whole one together. Hubby has to always have sausage.

Sounds worse than green eggs and ham. But, as has already been stated, bacon with anything seems to be hot right now. I prefer it with eggs and other breakfast items. I also like it with avocado in sandwiches. Did anyone see the giant bacon burger that was making the rounds on Facebook a couple of weeks ago? I think it had 20 pounds of bacon in it . A bunch of guys (of course) concocted it and posted pictures. It had ground bacon, fried bacon on top and I forget what else, with some kind of gooey sauce that sounds horrible with it. Just looking at it almost made me gag. Found one link by going back in the timeline of my friend who posted this:
