How often do you eat at McDonald's? I go there maybe 3 times per month. Some people say they are stuffed after eating there and don't need anything for the rest of the day. I feel like I could eat more with no problem and I'm not fat. About the health part of discussion I think you can eat anything as long as you eat versatile and what is really healthy these days. Even if you take bio food for example chances are it will grow from polluted ground and same goes for private gardens if you decide to grow your own. I know some kids that were especially cared after for example they weren't aloud to play outside on the ground and ate only certain products and they were even sicker than those that played in the dirt. It's strange everything is basically slowly killing us and yet we can't live without those things. I like Coca Cola despite the wide known fact it desolves teeth and so on. Sometimes worst things are the most desirable don't you agree?

I haven't eaten at McDonald's for years and will probably never again. Their food (and most fast food) makes me sick. I don't agree that you can eat anything because most things are not healthy these days. Vegetables in the grocery store are days or weeks old and have lost most of their nutrition, after having been chosen for shipping quality and not nutrition or taste, and probably GMO besides.
I know that some kids are alienated from reality by not being allowed to play where they might get "dirty" or pick up germs. That's not natural and our bodies need to contact these things so they can build up an immunity. Parents who overprotect their children are not giving them any benefit.
I, too, like Coke, but I don't drink it except on rare occasion. The reason is the high fructose corn syrup, which is totally unnatural and made from GMO corn, which is a double whammy.
You might not have any health problems right now, but these things can take time to show. I was healthy as a horse until I turned 55, then it was one thing after another. I wish that I had not waited until it was too late to change my eating habits.

If you're not familiar with GMO or GM, look it up. Almost all corn grown in the US has been genetically modified. Every time I eat it, I get hives, but I can eat organically grown corn. That proves to me that there's something wrong with genetically modifying our food. There are a lot of illnesses now than were hardly known just a few years ago, and I suspect a lot of it has to do with our food. Or lack of real food, rather.
Anyway, I hope you continue to get better. You may have to avoid corn the rest of your life.

Now that you mentioned hives my girlfriend gets hives when eating pork and god knows what pigs eat, probably also corn so there might be a connection. Avoiding corn seems a good idea but it's not the same watching a movie without popcorn. Thanks for good wishes, hope your remain relatively healthy, could be worse that's what you can always say. I wonder what the "bad guys" eat, probably not their own products.

I agree with you. Vegetables and fruits aren't even mature when they are shipped and are suppose to mature on their way so sometimes they aren't even colored when they are sold.
As I said before overprotecting children and also in my opinion overprotecting yourself by buying only "bio" products and products with "healthy" written over them which is not always the case doesn't really benefit you and can sometimes be even worse than not caring about what you eat.
Glad you like Coke despite the fact it seems you don't eat unhealthy food. A bottle from time to time won't kill you. Just recently I heard about this corn syrup being unhealthy and problem is it's very common in products.
I'm 22, I didn't do anything drastically unhealthy in my life and I had problems with digestion when I was 18 and still have them it just slowly got better. For about 2 years I had a very limited menu basically just meat and potato and now that things are better I'm starting to experiment again but corn is on my no go list. Sadly no doctor or research ever yield any results about my health so far cause you must almost die for doctors to help you.
Don't know your complete story but seems to me that our parents are having less problems than youth... things are getting worse. Thank you for your comment and participation, wish you well

I eat at McDonald's about 3 times a week! What's good about me, is I eat at all the places, I don't eat at the same place all the time! I have to eat at a different place every time, I even eat at home sometimes!
Be aware of Coca-Cola, it has a high content of acid, it has so much, we use it to pour on the battery cables of our autos, to clean the corrosion! It's a good corrosion cleaner with all that acid!

As a student, cheap food is really important to me because my student loans only allows a certain budget per a month. I eat at McDonald's a few times a month too. It's great that there's an entire meal available for under five dollars. I know that it's not healthy but when I go home, I get two oranges. I hope that offsets it a bit. I will watch my health more when I have the cash to.

To be honest, I thought their fries is the best amongst other fast food chains in my country namely Kentucky Fried Chicken(KFC) which is the closest competition here in my city.
However, I felt that my local McDonalds's isn't really that authentic to the US grid chain where there are more chicken burgers than beef burgers being served. I suppose chicken is being a more popular choice amongst the Chinese here in Mainland China. Don't get me wrong, they do serve their signatures like the moderate Cheeseburger and Big Mac - other than that, it will be almost like another KFC chain burgers - chicken (broiled/bbq/deep fried) - short of the salad, whipped potatoes and soup.
My kids and I love their fries and chicken nuggets, but like you I try not to visit it as seldom as I can help convincing them. I think I can accept the occasional as I just do not believe that processed food could ever replace normal fresh greens and meats.

Unfortunately we don't have KFC in our European country so I'll have to go to America one day which is my big wish. We don't have any soups here in our McDonald's which shows how menus alter in different countries and that might also be the reason why some people like it and some don't. It's actually pretty local. You're doing your kids a favor by not letting them eat fast food hopefully they'll be thankful one day. Thanks for contributing to discussion, wish you well

Worst things has good taste in mouth but do bad to the body..(^^)
I am not an avid eater of mcDonalds and rarely have it. But I like chocolates and cakes and they said if you eat those you will gain weight. I believe that it all depends on our intakes. If we take more than we need then everything will going to be bad to the body.(^^)

Thanks for pointing that out. I totally agree with you. If you don't want to gain weight you can eat whatever you want just not a lot of it. Than your stomach shrinks and you'll reach your goal eventually. Thanks for participating in discussion, have a great day

Yeah it's a time saver unless there's a very long waiting line. Some people stay thin no matter what or how much they eat and others the opposite way. But seems like that can change when you get older and you don't need as much food as before. Thanks for sharing your eating habits with us mylotters

Well, all I can say is that I used to eat a lot of junk and fast foods as a kid. Everything was OK, until I reached the age of 30 and started to have a lot of health problems that my doctors could not treat. Eventually I attended a dietary clinic where I learned of the damage that I was doing to myself slowly that resulted in my severe health problems. I was never overweight and always fit before too and never thought that junk food was a problem for me. Here's a video link that explains what can happen. If you can spend the time watching it, you may find some good information. We are all different when it comes to our eating habits, but I think from my own experience, that we need to take more care on what we are eating.. Here's the link to Youtube. (it is not a referral link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM&feature=share _Derek

I head and still have some problems and I'm 22 and not overweight. I don't blame my problems on fast food but I think quality of all food lowered just so people on top earn more. Like in your case doctors didn't diagnose or treat anything to this day so I can really relate to you. Thanks for the link I started watching it today and will continue soon I just didn't have the time since I worked, played football and responded to all comments here. But you have to take time for health or health problems take your time when you least expect. Thanks for your contribution to discussion, wish you well

I do eat at McDonald's but only on rare times.. i only go there with my kids if they like some toy in the happy meal but most of the time we try to bring them to places where healthy foods are served and not fast foods. Plus as much as possible we serve and cook them home made food which is a lot healthier.

Good for you and your kids. I am also lucky... as a chilled we went to McDonald's maybe one time per 2 months. And we cooked and still cook at home most of the time. We eat in a restaurant say 4 times per month but some people eat in restaurants basically every day but fortunately there are many healthy restaurants, problem is only that most of them are expensive. Thanks for your comment

I will do McD once or twice a month when the crave sits in.. but very unfortunate that nowadays, the burgers were very depressing in my country, therefore, I try not to go to that when come to dinner. I agree with you, as long as we eat moderately, anything is just good for the body. Should one be picky and choosy, then it's not good at all.

Fast food is perfectly fine in moderation. There are times where most of the problems come with having fast food a bit more often. Once every couple of months or so, there is really just something where fast food won't hurt you that much. But most of the people rather don't eat it every couple of months but rather pretty much every couple of days.
It is rather easy to see where there are just many times where it is just the easy thing to get some fast food. Long days and little time to cook or little motivation rather. It starts once and it really just gets the ball rolling to say the very least to say the least. I think we can all agree that fast food may taste great but other then a treat every now and again, it is something that I'm trying to avoid.

i agree with you. we desire the things that are not good for us. i eat fast foods every once in a while. i know that fast foods are not good for the health but i think as long as we know how to control and balance our diet, it should be fine.

I do not use often with such food, I see no sense napychac something which is neither nutrients nor even tastes somehow wyjatkowo.Kazda sandwich tastes the same, each is equally seasoned, or a lot of salt, hot spices, no flavor. These are the hanger-on, in fact the next time does not want us to eat, but is it here? I think fast food, like everything, but some are in the right amounts, everyone knows how much he can afford.

I agree that sometimes worst things are the most desirable. I like McDonald's especailly the McFloat and chicken nuggets but I try to limit my intake for those foods because of high calories, fats and sugar which very bad for my diet and health conditions.

Although many people think that McDonald's sell rubbish food because they think the fast food like that is not healthy. However, I don't think so. We will go to McDonald's about twice a month. I like the fast food in McDonald's. Many people say that the grain food, dairy product and vegetables are good for the healthy. Aren't they already available in McDonald's?:) The wrong diet is to eat the same food all the time. So if you don't eat it so often, it doesn't matter at all.

Hi slovenc: I love fast food but I have worked on my self-control. I actually haven't gone to a fast food restaurant in more than a month. Now talking about Mc. Donalds. I must confess that I don't like McDonalds. I prefer my local fast food restaurant that is just famous in my city but it's a high quality restaurant. Their burguers are bigger and more tasty. In my opinion, McDonalds is just a popular fast food restaurant but there are certainly better ones.
I agree with you on the fact that we could eat almost everything but we have to cultuivate self control. The big problem is when we eat too much only one thing. Food excesses are always bad. And finally don't forget to work on your healthy habits like working out and eat vegetables regularly.

I agree there are many better restaurants and your local fast food sound tasty, how is it called? Self control is very important cause if you neglect yourself you can get health problems fast. I am working out more lately and I'm not fat but I didn't do much else than sit behind computer for a year. Thanks for contributing to discussion

I haven't eaten there in a year! I was so disgusted when I went there to eat one time and I never went back. We ordered chicken nuggets and I bit into one and there was cartilage in one. I was so disgusted. I wanted to throw up. I'm never going back.

As far as I understand English cartilage isn't such a disgusting thing however don't know what was it doing in nugget. Even tho we think McDonalds is same around the world it's not and quality can be different. Than there are rare occasions when people found whole chicken heads in their meals. Would apologize for saying this but since you're not planing to go again I hope you'll cope with what I said. Thanks for contributing to discussion, have a great day.

We usually eat at McDonald's about 3 to 4 times a month mainly because we could eat as much as we want without spending so much. I also like their sundae and their rice is always hot. I don't know much about Coca-cola but my husband said that his tooth problems were all because of drinking too much cola. I think I would try using that to clean our toilet bowl if it's really effective :D

Sundae or a shake is great in the summer. Rice? Never heard of rice in McDonald's here in our European country, what's the idea? Didn't really know that people actually had problems with their teeth from drinking Cola. I know it dissolves teeth if you leave them in cola but not that it has effect if you just drink it. I do usually drink some water after drinking cola cause teeth and mouth gets sort of sticky.

Are you serious? I love it and eat burgers every time I can... and french fries.... yeaaaah... and Coke.. wait, Coke is not necessary... especially if they have Tonic. Why don't they have Tonic every time btw? Sometimes they just have it and then not, why?
