Do we really become ghosts after we die?

First, don't laugh at me as I am a scared woman.When I was a child I used to hate and avoid ghosts so much !In fact I even doubt whether there is ghost in this world and what he looks like. When I grow up I was told that the world is made of substance scientificly speaking.I was released a little.
After I work, later I lerant that what the teacher said is not alway true. Our world is made of both substance and spirit accroding to the "Relativity Theory". Why is there some thing that science cannot explain? Then can we explain it in a supernatural way? Does it mean that ghosts really exist?
I read some stories about ghosts a few days before and last night after I turned off my computer I thought of this. I was so frightened that I couldn't sleep lying on the bed. My neighour is in the oppisite door but I am wondering whether she would know it if I were killed by a ghost.
Is there a ghost living? The best way to defeat him is ignore him and not afraid of him? Is that true? Can anybody comfort me? I am crying now...

hi!!
some older people really believe in ghost(my grandmother told me that before when she still alive)and i'm also believe that.(theres nothing wrong if we believe) but i don't think so after we die we become ghost it is not true. some say ghost live in hell.

Does ghost exist? yes it exist in our mind or even in spiritual places. yet we were afraid and not thinking that we do also can defeat them for Those in Chirst Jesus.

First of all, no one knows for sure what we will become after we die because obviously, we all have not been there yet! 
But for me, I do believe in the existence of spirits in this world; and I do not just believe for the sake of believing, I actually have encountered spirits first-hand in my life before. Some people use the term "ghost", but I guess these terms are pretty subjective and are perhaps interchangeable. I don't really know what is the best way to "defeat" a spirit/ghost, but if you do encounter one, stay away from the place you encountered the spirit/ghost (if you can). If you can't avoid the place (for example if you dwell in or close to the area of encounter), try to consult some spiritual experts like bomohs to try to drive the spirit/ghost away.

I think ghosts are just energies, i am not really sure if it is positive or negative.. but the strong ones re negative. That's why there would probably be a ghost if someone was murdered brutally. 
They can't physically harm anyone, just scare people though.

I am a Buddhist and my religion tells me that ghost do exist and that means people who die will definitely turn into ghosts and wait for their turn to reincarnate. However i have mix feeling about this too. Despite having a strong core to this belief, sometimes i still doubt it and find it hard to believe something that is not yet proven, and maybe never will.

Hello Sweet Lady... Relax! I assure you that there're no ghosts. At times, I get scared too. I'm a Man, and I too feel scared sometimes. Its not the ghosts that scare us, its the mystery about them, or rather about that issue. A lot has been written and said and told about ghosts. But no one has seen it, or experienced it. Hence, it all becomes mysterious and we are not sure what to believe... The fear that you feel is product of the mystery....
I assure you I have heard many stories. And in each one of them, I could find things unrelated to reality or science. Science hasn't proved it, because the science is still to discover some realities about nature... And be sure that it'll be discovered soon enough. Then you'll find enough scientific rules to rule out any ghost story...

ghost is probably exist, that depends on whether you believe ,for there are always something is weird in the nature. we can't expain it , it will suddenly happen to you and which make you feel scared ,even more fear. i always stay away this weird stuff, i dislike to watch the horror film, though i know it's not ture, i am afraid to see the sence of horror and hear the sound of weird. some people believe that we have a soul . when we die, our soul will go to the heaven, we can have new life in the another wold where you feel peace and happy .

I believe in ghost during my childhood, but now, i don't think so since so far i haven't seen anything yet. There are things where you should believe even you don't get the chance to see it. Don't think of ghost as negatively, since there's no explanation for it, there are things that are better to be left unanswered than knowing it. Even i would be shocked if i saw one but it's better to see it than to see a killer.

Me too scared of ghosts. When I was a kid Im too nervous of ghosts stories. As Im imagining what are my reactions If I saw one, but lucky I am that until now I havent seen one. Is that really true about ghosts? maybe not. But their are movies of Ghosts in different story sequences. This stories are made only of the creative mind from the story artist. My cousin is a psychiatric nurse where her patient have mind problems. From her story she told me that one of her patient saw a ghost but my cousin didnt. And their findings are only halucination of the patient and they treated the patient. Ghosts maybe the other side of human being or the other character of humans in the other world. In a brief discussion I dont believe in ghosts its the outlet of human art.
