No money and power, you are nothing?

Money and power can make a person influential. If we do not have money and power, then we are not appreciated by others. We have money we can influence others' opinions. We can direct people to do something, for example in the selection of our leaders in the city. So, if we do not have money and power, then we are not appreciated by others. We are rewarded by others if we have advantages not possessed by others, for example, high intelligence, money, power, and others. Do you agree with my opinion?

You have a great and wonderful points worthy of consideration. In many cases, money and power are two inseparable twins, at least in my own opinion. As one author says, "money is power. With money many things are possible." That includes all those points you've mentioned. There are only some few areas where money may not be the biggest contributor to power. However, in many instances, money is truly power. Those people with money tend to be the leaders. When money talks, people listen. Nevertheless, we can be somebody with power even with not much money.

I have known someone who really has nothing before. He only has a shirt or two which he interchange everytime he go to school and even until the time he is working. One day everything changes like a fairytale where he met someone who has more than he could imagine. He did not let the opportunity go away instead he uses his mind and at instance he had more money and power. Though now he is already someone who acts as if he owns the whole world, Only if we do not know who he really is, he should not act that way. With that, I do really agree that money and power could really make a person influential, that if you have money and power you could do anything without minding the people who in one way or another might get hurt. It is the money and power why people are in advantage of the others. Also, they could easily react and do something whenever needs arises.

Golden Boy! - Yes, to some extent, I once was, a golden boy with a golden future...to whom power would come.
Up to a point, yes. I think a person can be treated quite well if they have no money or power; but they will notice that certain privileges - that will be enjoyed by the wealthier and more powerful - won't be theirs. For example, they perhaps won't be listened to as carefully as the powerful; their opinions won't carry the same amount of weight; the sad thing being that their opinion might be brilliant, highly intelligent. So I disagree about high intelligence: some of the most intelligent and talented people have had little power, and still don't. They may be happy; or not. I think when a person is young, they value power less than older people, so are quite happy to live without too much power. This may be because the young are - I feel - quite treasured by society (as its future movers and shakers), so their lack of power might to some extent be overlooked...in view of the fact that ultimately they will achieve it. Which is not the case - sadly - for older people without power...which may be why older people value material power more than younger, who tend to idealism. They desperately need it. I can't remember valuing material power too much when I was young...although I can remember enjoying being young and attractive: that was a source of power for me. And I guess I still had a golden future ahead of me, so my lack of material power was not too serious: I was still treasured for my promise. If I'd known how hard it is for older people without power, I think I'd have acted differently than I did.

Money and power sadly influence the weak, i myself dont get sucked into the smoke screen. A person can have the unlimited amount of funds for a dozen familes and be the biggest most ignorant perosn on earth lol. Respect and how you treat others goes over anything even money and will get you far.

I get what you are saying, but people with no money or power to little money or power can always do one thing that people who use there money or power for wrong reasons can't. They can all come together as one group and stand up to these people that seem to care less about what happens to the less fortunate in this country. There is a lot more of them than the people who are just looking to keep these corrupt systems in place. That has always been where people have the most power throughout history.

I want to disagree with that thinking because we all know what is right and wrong...but that is the reality and we cannot deny it..

With little money in hand and lesser power to exercise you really are reduced to lower strata in the societal framework. It is money and power which reign supreme in the present day scenario.

I disagree that having no money + power makes a person nothing. There are plenty things that is important than those two. Of course, money and power are always together making an advantage in the society. For me you're not nothing when you have friends or family around you (i'am talking about real friends here, not the one that are temporary friends because you have money) which will make you happy and a clean soul.
