After leading Tottenham to Champions League action in 2010/2011 and almost repeating it again last season, no one would have expected that to happen. Apparently, the talk of Redknapp quitting the club to manage England which led to a slump of form is the catalyst for it. Everton's David Moyes is said to be one of the favourite to take over the reins.

Harry Redknapp has managed Spurs to top four finis - Harry Redknapp has managed Spurs to top four finishes.
Harry Redknapp is a good coach. The teams that were under his watch were all doing quite well. Spurs is taking a gamble to part ways with the manager who brought to them one of the most successful periods in the last 30 years. Spurs might have taken the hard decision in reference to Harry Redknapp's court cases about kickbacks in his dealings in player transfers and tax evasions. It is interesting to see how will Spurs be doing in the coming season. But I feel that they may lose Modric to Manchester United or Chelsea with so many uncertainties now.

Another piece of business that escapes my understanding. Way back in Jan when Redknapp for England rumors were going on, Redknapp mentioned how the Spurs had stuck with him through the bad times and how he felt gracious about it. Then the slump happened and he lost to Roy in the race for the England job. Then last week the rumor mills were strife with news that Harry and Spurs were parting ways. But two days back Redknapp hit out at these rumors and now this news. It is really stunning how things change!! I have half a feeling that if England get dumped in the league stages then Roy would be sacked and Harry will take over the England job. Cheers! Ram

I didn't expect that either, since he is one of the coaches that was for a long time in his team. Moyes sounds as a good choice for Tottenham, considering that he managed to get some good results with a team with more "economic" roster.
