Men no more show manners around women

Men and chivalry come together but guess with women talking a lot of economic independence, it's making them forget their basic etiquettes. This is not some male bashing exercise nor is it a feminist piece but the days of men showing basic manners with women are all over!

Frankly, I believe that this is the price women should get from aspiring to be equal with men. You want equality, well, we treat you equally regardless of gender.

Women don`t need to aspire to be equal to men. They are equal and should be treated with respect, the same way that men (and all genders, races and religions) should be treated with respect. We are all human beings, I you should know. Now, if treating women "equally" to men, means to abuse them, it shows a pityful trait on the person (whatever his gender) who does so.

I agree with you, marguicha. I think that the equality issue is just overdramatic. We are all equal in this world, it is just society's perception and tradition that implement a patriarchal view. Also, it may women ‘who don’t fight for the cause’ are often taught of as someone ‘spineless’, which I find disgusting. Some women are comfortable in their place, one way or another and they do not need to give a reason why. If they wish to fight for ‘equal rights’, they are free to do so. However, in the end, we all have the same beginnings and end.

Have you watch "pay it forward" movie? Well, if you haven't, don't worry, i haven't too... but you can read the plot at wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pay_It_Forward What is this have to do with the discussion? because i think the real world apply the concept pay it forward, but instead of good deed, we apply it on revenge and anger. Everybody start life with a clean sheet. Then life experiences happen to us. Some people receive bad or humiliating experience from opposite gender, after several same bad experiences they start to generalizing it. If you are men and you receive bad experinces with women, you start to get angry with all of them and same thing with women who had bad experiences with men. You use the term male bashing exercise, which mean you know the concept of it. I think women who like to exercise male bashing are also have bad experiences with men in the past and they pay it forward to men they met in the future. Now, some men who once respect to women out of nowhere receive this treatment from women, then they also start to pay it forward to women in the future. At the end we will hate each other...

The word chivalry, although beautiful, sounds outdated. I prefer to wish all human beings are respectful of other, no matter what gender. I give my sit in public transportation to older people (although I`m old enough and my knees hurt). Youngsters don`t come out of school with no energy so that they can be more cortous towars pregnant women, preople with small children (no matter what gender) or older people (men and women). I don`t want anyone to open a car door for me, but sometimes I ask for help to get up, as my old knees won`t help. If we teach good manners to our children, no matter which gender, they will not be rude.

that's somewhat correct, but you should know that times are getting tough and the society around us is getting harder to deal with.Everyone's got there own livelihood to earn, kids to feed and yet save enough to dream of a better future. They all see each other as rivals, not men alone but women as well,so until times get better it can be expected to get a lot worse.

shame for those men who doesn't know the word respect. It's really time for us to show them our worth. That we should be treated with respect and that us womens are powerful. I hope there is a law for those guys who doesn't know how to show respect. Even with a small word or act of non respect those guys should be in jail

The world of business is changing. Both men and women will need to adjust to it. What is important for business is business itself. Lets see who is best business person on an individual basis. Business can be a rough world and many people while interacting forget that that business is not really about manners it is about money. Good manners will generate good business but it doesn’t mean bad business will not exist?

Oh I miss those olden days when I was treated like a queen. I was seated at a throne and men worshiped me. Oh those days of chivalry where poems were made for me and i was serenaded as i stood near my window. Oh those olden days! Sigh!

Seriously! I too miss those good old days when men used to think million times even before uttering a word. Now a days, if a women just pass by them, she will surely hear at least a couple of voices commenting something or singing songs. Guys are losing their dignity over all completely and i just hate them these days. But then, strangely, i find these people in the mid 40s annoying a lot. They keep touching the girls in the bus and the public places unnecesarily and they do all non sense keeping innocent faces. I see a lot of college students behaving in a lot dignified manner than these mid-40s gits. I don't know what the hell on earth these people are made up off. They have no shame at all.
