Do you still have your childhood comforter?

When I was a small child I had part of a soft shawl which I would not sleep without. My sister had a handkerchief.
My son told me at bedtime last night that he was going to keep his favourite soft toy forever, and it could sleep with he and his wife when he's older!
I still have my shawl somewhere. It brings back warm memories when I find it.
Did you have a childhood comforter that went everywhere with you? Do you still have it?

I can't think of anything that really went EVERYWHERE with me, but I still have a number of childhood articles like stuffed animals and old blankets. When I was a kid I was really into unicorns and I *ahem*... still am.
So I've kept all my old unicorn toys, my unicorn night-light, my unicorn sheets and big blanky, and even gathered some new ones over the years. I collect them! Don't judge me.
My relatives who haven't seen me in awhile are under the false impression that I grew out of it like I was "supposed" to.

It's in the wall. lol I never turn it on, but that's really the best place to keep it. (There's no room on the bookshelf with all the other unicorn stuff

I didn't have a comforter but I still have my first doll and soft toy. they are in storage. Betty , the doll I got when I was a year and a half , just about the same time I got this small dark teal dog named Okie . I still have them both!

I am surprised that you have kept your childhood comforter for so many years.Nobody has referred to my childhood preference, however you put me in mind of my niece who had lived with us for ten years since she was born .Since my sister didn't have enough milk to nurse her,so it had to be brought up by hand by my mother. In those days she held a baby's bottle in her mouth all day ,the same for going to bed.She would cry without it.I think it was just her comforter.

Aw, so cute! Thats so funny that he said it can sleep with him and his wife someday, Lol.
I did have a comfort when I was younger. It was my Donald Duck stuffed animal. If that duck could have talked it would have told all of my secrets that I told him, lol. Sadly, we moved so much so I lost him. =( He was very special to me though. I cried to him all the time and I slept every night with him.

I still have my teddy!! I thought that I had a pic of it here but I can't find it. But I don't have him in bed with me now. He's older than me but his mental age isn't up to seeing me in bed!! LOL. I can empathise with the trouser thing though. When I came out of hospital I couldn't do my trousers up. I had to wear braces and jumpers over the top to hide the exposed P1ke!!
