yeh i like reading too, it was fun and make us know some thing, did you know that Reading is a complex cognitive process of decoding symbols in order to construct or derive meaning (reading comprehension. It is a means of language acquisition, of communication and of sharing information and ideas. Like all language, it is a complex interaction between the text and the reader which is shaped by the reader’s prior knowledge, experiences, attitude, and language community which is culturally and socially situated. The reading process requires continuous practice, development, and refinement. Readers use a variety of reading strategies to assist with decoding (to translate symbols into sounds or visual representations of speech)and comprehension. Readers may use morpheme, semantics, syntax and context clues to identify the meaning of unknown words. Readers integrate the words they have read into their existing framework of knowledge or schema (schemata theory. Other types of reading are not speech based writing systems, such as music notation or pictograms. The common link is the interpretation of symbols to extract the meaning from the visual notations.

I'm still struggling to read some of the more popular authors, those who have written real best sellers and all. A few years back, I was so much into the idea of reading books from new authors and found them really refreshing. Although I must say, I have no idea who you enumerated on your discussion, but will surely check them out one of these days.

Over the last few months I have read everything I can get my hands on by Lori Foster, Janet Evanovich and MaryJanice Davidson.
In the past I have read Vikki Peterson (modern day fantasy), Carly Phillips (romance), and Charlain Harris (Vampire series that True Blood is based off of).
I have read a few Lisa Jackson's in the past, but have not heard of the other authors. I guess the next time I am at the library I will have to see if they have any of their stuff.

I've found that I especially like reading first novels. It just seems like the author puts so much effort into it. I've never read a first novel that I didn't like. Among my favourite authors are John Irving, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Joy Fielding, Wally Lamb to name but a few. Right now I'm reading The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill and am quite enjoying it.

I have found that reading first novels will help you to know if you are going to like that particular author or not.
