There is an international event taking place in my area at present at work..Apparently we're hosting a group of Farming representatives from many countries for a few days.
One of the Guys doing support work for the group got chatting with one of them and was expressing interest in what sort of an operation the guy was running back home..
The reply was a little boastful,but he claimed to be able to get on his tractor in the morning,and STILL be on his own land that evening..
(and presumably paused at that for the expected and respectful "Wow!" he was aiming for..)
I'll refer to my contact as Jimmy.
Jimmy claims to have said to this guy (with as unimpressed a reaction as he could manage..) "Yeah,I had a Tractor like that once Too-I got a New one!"

LOL! Now that was a good one. I wonder if this "Jimmy" had added a "Bazinga" at the end whether or not the guy he was talking to would have understood the joke any better.
By the way, all I could picture while reading this was that "Jimmy" looked exactly like Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang Theory"!

I'd LOVE to have been there to have seen the delivery and the response of this one..but I got the impression when the gag went right over the Tractor Driver's head,Jimmy just moved on..that was quick thinking on Jimmy's part,though!
Funnily enough,I only got into following "BBT" about a Year or so ago when a French Student referred to one of my Co-workers as "Sheldon"...!(NOT Jimmy!) I watched the first 3 series' after I got the reference and seeing a resemblance..I can't persuade him to check out his namesake as yet,unfortunately...

LOL! I think it is funny that your co-worker resembles Sheldon. I love Sheldon, but I do not think that I could work with him ... or live with him, either, for that matter. I equally want to punch him and hug him for some of the things he says and does, because some of them are so obnoxious and arrogant and others are so sweet and innocent. This makes me wonder how you can get along with your coworker and not get arrested for assault!

He does have his Sheldon Moments..I'm still trying to figure out whether He has OCD,which is one thing I could do without..

I so hate it when people brag like that.....I am glad your colleague had a quick enough reaction and came back at him with that response! I wonder what the guys face would have been like - that would have been funny to see! : )

Jimmy reported the guy gave him a blank look,so it seemed that either the quip went right over his head,(Some of these People didn't have English as a first Language..I met a Bulgarian from this group and was giving him directions!) or he was still trying to process what just happened!
