He has been loyal to the WWE ever since he started in 1991. He is for sure one of the most popular, and most recognized of all time, but is he one of the greatest wrestlers of all time? He has been in many of the first ever matches, including Hell in the Cell, Buried alive, and Casket matches. He has been in more wrestling's then anyone, and not only that, he has won every single one. There have been 28, and he's won 20 of them. He has taken down some of the most popular, and best wrestlers of all time.
So what do you think? Is he the greatest? Or is he over hyped?

He is up there that is for sure. But I still think HBK is the greatest.

As far as wrestling skill goes undertaker or HBK are not very good. Stone cold, the rock, and hogan arn't either.

for me it's still Bret "The Hitman" Hart as the greatest wrestler that ever walked the Wrestling world. No one even comes close.

In terms of wrestling and popularity, that is a fantastic choice.

Its not about victory or defeats, since its scripted.
No doubt Undertaker is the best wrestler, everything about him is just perfect.I live India.Undertaker is the most famous wrestler here.Hulk Hogan,Rock,Stone Cold and John Cena are more well known than Undertaker. As you can see,all this guys, barring taker has zero in ring ability. One thing common all those guys is that, they have a very long tongue for their size. With taker's gimmick its hard to reach out to people, but i believe he has down a good enough job in that respect, too.
I want to see his American Badass Gimmick one more time before he retires.

i'd like to see that gimmik too, but doubt it. He does reach the fans, they love him. As far as john cena, he could never lace the undertakers boots, let alone does he deserve to be in the same sentence as all those greats you mentioned. Have to disagree about the best wrestler part, defiantly the best presence, and one of the greatest entertainers in WWE history.

the undertaker's career would not have survived all these years if he was overhyped. I don't know if he is THE greatest but for sure he is one of the greatest ever.
On a personal note: he is my favorite wrestler of all time. :)

I could say that during his long period in the WWE, he is one of the respective person in the WWE history. I think that WWE has made Undertaker a man with some super natural power. And it is clear from many episodes. I am his fan, an I believe that he could continue his innings for ever.

Yes they have made him a larger then life icon. And he will be forever remembered in the minds and hearts of all wrestling fans. If I have ever met a fan that didn't like the undertaker, which would be rare, then they still respect him. It reminds me of his t-shirt from his days as big evil, the motorcycle biker.
Loved by few
Hated by many
Respected by all
Except in reality he is loved by many hated by few and respected by all. RIP.

The Undertaker is one of the greatest WWE superstar of all time. In terms of wrestling skill it is gonna be Bret Hart. Showmanship would be Shawn Michaels. Most popular can either go to Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock can also be included.
The Undertaker maintain main event status for almost the time he started. His Wrestlemania Undefeated streak became legendary. He is also responsible for so many gimmick matches such as casket match, buried alive match, Inferno Match and Hell in a cell. His entrance is still one of the greatest entrance in history, his dark aura surrounding the arena, slow pace walk that can make his opponent either really scared or intimidated, eyes rolling at the back makes him looks even scary.
His moveset is also very impressive, he can move like a cruiserweight and he is pretty much a super heavy weight. He is very agile for a big man. He also have many signature moves like the chokeslam, last ride, hell's gate and the finisher, Tombstone Piledriver. He also have many moves that he always use like the big boot, Leg drop from the apron, which is much more painful than Hulk Hogan's finishing move, Atomic legdrop. He is also one of the best striker in the wwe.
