Itchy and feeling wet

I haven't gone to the doctor but this is bothering me a little. One nipple on the left feels itchy and wet but there's no discharge. When I checked it on the mirror it looks normal just like the other one. No rashes, swelling or redness. Does any female mylotters here experience the same thing? What is it?

My 18 year old daughter has this. I was really worried when she told me and I had a look at it. There was visible discharge (and it would be on her bra too, of course). She would experience some itching and a tiny bit of swelling. I had her see a doctor immediately at a drop-in clinic that is also associated with a women's health facility specializing in bre@st care. Fortunately, she was told there is nothing serious. In her case, it's eczema. They prescribed a cream for her to apply to the nipple any time it flares up and the cream works very quickly. You really should have it checked out. As women, I know we always keep things like that in the backs of our minds and we worry about them, even if we try not to... just having it checked will ease your thinking and, if you need a topical cream or lotion to help, you'll be able to get that Good luck and take care

Hormones definitely do some drastic - and even surprising - things to our bodies on a regular basis, don't they? As I mentioned, I was really scared when my daughter told me about the discharge and I asked her to show me and it didn't look good. It was such a relief to be told that it was nothing to worry about and was more skin related than anything else. I'm really glad to know you're going to see a doctor for yours. You will have peace of mind after that

If you don't mind me asking, what was the color of your daughter's visible discharge?

Really?! In my case it's only itchy in the morning and it felt cold at that time, but the itchiness went away gradually and it felt warm throughout the day. There was no visible discharge and swelling on my nipple. I just remember that I'm on my ovulation period this week and thought that my itchiness is just hormonal. I will see my doctor this weekend. Thank you so much for sharing your daughter's experience.

hi rosethorns, Please go see your doctor...I have had b r e a s t cancer and I am a blessed survivor but a lot women was not as blesses as I am.. I could very easily be something or nothing but I don't think you should rely on mylotter to give you diagnosis over the computer...Like I said it may not be anything but he contented with the doctor telling you that... Good luck and I hope every thing turns out OK...

Aw, bjc66bjc, thank you for your response. Can you relate how you got b r e a s t cancer before? Was your nipple itchy and did it feel wet before you got diagnosed with BC?

No my dear, I felt nothing or saw nothing,,it was a small lump that only showed up a very little in a mammogram and then I had a ultrasound and then a MRI before it was determined it was BC... I am really suggesting you just see your doctor, better safe than sorry....

Hi Rosesthorns, It's the best thing to consult a doctor, whenever you know it's not normal especially that involves your health, you should immediately see your doctor. Remember that prevention is better than cure...

Do you feel any lumps? Better see a doctor to check what's going on.

I agree with the others. I think we can give advice and help but we have no right to diagnose or assume that maybe nothing is wrong. What if we said it was nothing and it turned out to be something serious? I wouldn't want to risk that. My doctor always tells me, if you got any lumps or if something just doesn't feel right come see me. Always better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully they will tell you that it's nothing serious.

You have a point there but I made sure that I don't have the signs and symptoms that is worst other than itching and feeling "wet" on my nipple. I just wanted to ask if any female mylotters here experienced the same thing.

That's fair enough then. Guess you never know until you ask :)
