What makes you more qualified than the other applicants?

When applying for a job, most questions are very common. But, still quite difficult because we don't want to sound conceited and the same time, we can't help but to brag a little. The most questions I find really difficult is this: What makes you more qualified than the other applicants? How would you answer this question.

Well, some of my relatives were interviewers for a company when they are hiring new employees. They gave me some tips on these kind of things. As for your question, they expect you to say something a little braggy. Like perhaps you can say you are very competitive and always striving to do better, and because of that, you will always work hard and work smart. Or just something like that. Just something that gives you an advantage over the others.

Iv found that experience makes you more qualified, if you have experience in a field or you have done a similar job before, or you know how to do the job without a lot of training they should accept you over other applicants, experience is a huge advantage over people who have only ever studied, i learnt a lot of this from mycareerexpo.com they offer such great support and advice on jobs and careers. iv seen people who are top of their honors class not know what to do once they have finished studying because studying is all they know and they have no experience - Just my opinion :)

The job market in my country at the moment is very poor, and this has meant that people have to do as much as they can in order to get a job. The most important thing over here is the experience that you've managed to get along the way, and this often means that you have to work voluntarily for a good while before you're able to get the job that you've always wanted. So I did several years of voluntary work which has meant that I have been able to get the job that I wanted, and I am now earning and able to buy the things that I need in order to live a good life.

In my head: "how in the hell I would know? I don't even know them!" :D In reality I would tell about my endurance of monotonity, me being really dedicated and hard-working and my creativty. That would be it, I guess, those are really my top traits.

THat question might be answer based on the job's nature. In general application, (away from the common practice=excellence, communication skill and job experience) i would answer "I can do many things even out of the job's nature. I love working with other people (some, if not most, companies want to have a very open and 'good to be with' employees)" I could also say that I've been always targeted as a leader of the group throughout my school days so i am well-versed with management and leadership. :)
