HI mylot friends and everyone!
right now i am feeling worried and sad and anxious. For 2 days my youngest who is 3(for those of u who don't know) has bitten her tounge alot and now she can't eat. every time she tries, she cries because of the pain so today my husband told me to get chloraseptic spray for the throat and i sprayed it in her mouth and she cried even more. so im not using that anymore, mainly because it burned her and caused her a lot of pain..i physically hurt when i did this. I dont know what to do. i checked on web md about what i could do for her but there is nothing i can do. it said the little bumps will go away on its own in a few more day but what am i suppose to do during? i can't allow her to starve. she's already underweight and its not from lack of eating-heck she eats more than her sister! i am worried sick. she has bitten her tounge before but not this badly, she's always saying 'my tummy hurts' and i dont know what i can do for her..so im going to do the next best thing for her. they have this pediasure at the supermarket. it replaces lost nutrients that kids dont get from their everday foods...since she can't eat. my husbands gonna try to give her soup.
have anyone ever gone thru this type of thing?

Well, there isn't much you can do for a tongue that has been bitten. Above all, don't give her anything salty. Like Gifts said though, I'd be concerned as to just why she was biting her tongue. It is common in toddlers because they run and fall and sometimes they do bite their tongues. For it to happen a lot in a matter of a couple of days, to me seems abnormal. I raised 4 kids and took care of several and I only saw it happen a few times over the course of many years. I think I'd be seekng another opinion.

well she is doing 1000 times better. on monday morning as we were brushing our teeth she was not looking forward to it but she sucked it up and brushed and she said it doesn't hurt anymore! and she only ate very little. today she hasnt' stoped eating! i can see the little tummy pop out so that is a wounderfull sign! when i took her to see a dr. he only told me what my husband told me. she also had a gum infection which is something viral..her immune system would have to fight it off itself, there was nothing anyone could do.
