i don't understand why some filipino still risk their lives working abroad when they know they would be mistreated. although i know they need money. but i think if you can do with small money in the country but live a more respectable life, then i think just try to work in the country. why have to aim for much bigger amount of money but you would not be happy in your work. it is not just all about money. it is about peace of mind.

You have a point there, but I guess some still risk their lives because they have no choice. Like my son's nanny, she chose to leave the country and go to the Middle East despite all the bad news happening to most of our Filipino workers there. There are some offers to me working outside the country but I chose to stay here because I am more free here and like what you said, I love more my peace of mind than the money I could earn from working abroad.

Risks are quite common in every ones life. Life become more interesting when you take more risks and more adventurousness task. Such words are really to tell but it becomes really difficult in real world. In my life I prefer safety first than anything. Money has only the significance if we have existence. So existence of our life is more important than anything.

I feel bad for people who risk their lives just to earn little money. But we can't blame them. They simply would like to earn money to feed their family.

Hi Hotsummer, Indeed you are correct, but with the few opportunities here in the Philippines, Filipino's are forced to find work abroad. Anyone doesn't want to be mistreated but they have to invest more patience because most of them needed money to support their families. With those people who risk themselves just for their love ones, I really admire them. Happy mylotting...

True but in some instances where the situation does not give them any choice, it is inevitable that they have to bear the mistreatment in return for the money to support their love ones. For example many filipino maids have to work abroad in order to make enough money to send it home despite knowing that their employer may be nasty to them.
