why housewife's are undervalued in comparison to working women?

The classic housewife - just a comic picture
probably because of the old fashion stereo type image of a woman watching soap opras eating bon bons with curlers in her hair. people think they don't do anything. i mean i'm a housewife because i'm a stay at home mom. i do quite a bit. you rather we work and hire a maid and a cook and a babysitter??? do you know how much that would cost??? also maybe because women who work, go to work AND do the housework...i don't look down on either one
