Do you remember before when you were a kid and you're being paid for extra cents or dollars by doing chores at house or for relatives? Are you still doing it right now? I remember when I was a kid and my aunt usually ask me to buy something in the grocer store and she usually says that I can keep the change as I do the shopping for her? I do love it as well as I will be able to buy some nifty things for me when I get in the grocery store. I also accept payments for some services at home when I was in 2nd grade. I remember that I usually massage my grandma and the same aunt who's asking me to do some groceries for extra charge, they pay me $1 (Php50) for a whole body massage. Of course being a kid; I'm happy getting a dollar already from them as I will be able to buy sweets or collect/save them for a better toy or other important purposes. I remember I was doing this to complete my Kurapika (from Hunter x Hunter) Collection. LOLZ. Who among you have experienced making money by doing extra chores or favors? This topic may also help other mylotters in need of money by giving their services in a good way and make it profitable as possible. Let me know your thoughts about this. Thanks~!!!

I use to live in a massive apartment complex when I was a kid and I would go around doing chores for people for very little money. It added up and I usually blew it on candy. However I don't do this anymore, and I'm sure nobody would be willing to pay for this.

That's a great way to make extra money and I have done that by just doing things that I am good at doing. My family never ever paid me for chores...it was just expected as in my family it is just what we do. They do a lot for me and I do what I'm able to for them. As an adult, I still don't charge family members for favors. I give rides to my brothers and I used to give rides to my mom and my aunt when they were alive. It was all for free. Why? because in my times of need, they were the ones to help me out also..it all evens out. I just can't feel right about gaining from family or really close friends.I'm not saying that you are wrong to in any way. I'm just saying that I was raised in a very different atmosphere.

I am doing a lot of extra chores for cash at the moment, because I am trying to save for a house and this means that I would do anything for a couple of extra pounds here and there. One of the main things that I do at the moment is ironing clothes for my family. This is because they don't have much time to do it themselves, so they would prefer for me to do it if they gave me a small amount of money for doing so. It works well for me, as it means that I can do it in the evening and just be able to grab some spare cash to put towards my house every now and again.

my parents never paid me for doing chores it was just part of my duties for living in there home. i use to live in apartments when i was in third grade and i remember one year me my sister and our best friend bought a bunch of candy and lemonade mix with change we would find walking around our apartments or that was laying around at home and then sold it we never made much of anything though so we gave up pretty quickly on it.

Im experiencing it right now! :) Mylot gets me roughly 10 dollars a month, and I have fun doing it. But there are more ways than laboring to make money. One, you can buy coffee beans instead of pre made coffees. Coffee beens cost roughly 30 cents to make one cup where I live. People worry too much about making money, when they can do simple things every day to save money. If you have watched the history channel, where it talks about saving money, over thirty years, just by drinking home made coffee and buying cheaper meals can make you a million in about 30 years. And thats only two out of the many ways we waste money every day. Gas, electricity, water, expensive appliances. I keep all my approximate savings in a separate bank pocket, and i currently have 12598.24 dollars in there. Doing cheap things is basically a habit to me. P.S. I finished writing this, and i realized i was WAY WAY WAY WAY off topic lol sorry.
