HTC desire or motoroa defy or any other?

I decided recently to upgrade my phone. I was using N95 till now.After browsing a lot and watching reviews i narrowed down my search to these two phones. both are available between $220-$230 dollars. i need a good display for reading pdfs and a decent processor for playing some games. but i am confused as Motorola Defy processor can be overclocked to much higher level compared to desire and also it's dust and water resistant but HTC is known for it's wonderful touch UI.
but there are other things too as battery backup phone heating problems etc so please help me out guyz !!

HTC Desire & Motorola DEFY are not bad, I searched for some reviews. But I would suggest for Motorola DEFY as it seems to be better, both have a problem they come pre-installed with Android 2.1 (upgradable to 2.3), I don't know if they have released an upgrade to Android 4...

i have read some reviews too and it seems there are some problems with the touch screen, wifi connection and heating issue.while HTC desire has only heating problem and it's not that bad.but i am still considering Defy because it's a tough phone both physically and in performance too...
