I abhor discussions about facebook on mylot. mylot is for friends that are TRUE friends. I realise many of you have done facebook discussions but i truely feel facebook is a pile of donkey doo and not fit for mylot consumption. mylot has no relationship with facebook so why talk about facebook on mylot? if you have an issue with facebook address it on facebook! My grouch over!

Mylot is all about sharing opinions about something. For me, it'll still be fine to talk about Facebook here as long as it does not violate the rules in MyLot. And besides, those people behind Facebook deserves the profit they have now. It's really hard to make website and maintaining it. But anyway, that's your idea and respect it.

Hello rusale , I have similar opinion like you. Mylot is for sharing our views and opinion. And since talking about facebook is not prohibited here, I just don't feel anything bad in doing this .

yes my lot is a good website but it does'nt have that feel of social networking website.in facebook everything is well organized you get updates directly on your wall and your friends can tag you in the pictures which are similar to your appearance.there is a friend suggestions box which suggests people based on their information like your old school friends. overall if you have an active social life then it's the best social networking site otherwise it's just as you said 'a pile of donkey doo'

hey i did'nt mean that.facebook is really a user friendly website and it's lot more faster than myLot .it's good because there's a whole lot of geniuses involved in making it better day by day.every now and then they make the changes in their website which looks more pleasant then before. and i mean a real active social life like college students have, and among those only those who does'nt do anything, just impress girls with their looks and spent their parents money.... sorry if i was being rude... cheers and thank you,

I agree that facebook is really a waste of time. A lot of people are really into it and somehow addicted to all of that stuff. Liking status and commenting randomly cant make anything. Friends posting photos or saying what they feel is almost the same. Mylot is much better since it is more serious and professional in some way. But you know, both have still advantages and disadvantages in some ways. Lucky those people who appreciate Mylot more

There is a lot of banality on facebook so i guess it makes a difference who you have on your friends group.

A problem with Facebook is that there is no one to address about a problem. You can thumbs up a comment but you can't thumbs down. I had a problem with my password FB and it's a good thing I figured it out myself because I'm still waiting for an answer from FB and I think it's been 4 years now.

Hello ajk111 Fortunately for me, I have the best of both worlds as I have met some people on the myLot who I get to speak with on the Facepage. I have developed friendships with a few oddballs who live in the UK and I look forward to seeing them over there and over here.

On mylot, not as many people participate as on Facebook, so its less likely your friends will hear about your personal problems. For me, my friends are good friends, but if i have to share something personal, its gonna be with parents or people who don't judge me about it.

I am not crazy about facebook either. I do have an account there but I am rarely on it. I think that most people like getting in to the games there with other people...well..the ones that aren't on there causing trouble for others that is..lol. I have never really gotten in to the whole game or social thing there. I started my account to support my b/f because he started a music page. I was on there a total of maybe an hour before I started getting friend requests from people I worked with...red flag.

We can talk about ANYTHING on myLot . . . that's the beauty of it! For me, Facebook is a place to exchange news about our personal stuff - briefly, that is. No one wants to "discuss" things on Facebook. We are lucky to get any sort of comment there! But on myLot, we can discuss all sorts of things, including Facebook, donkey doo, or grouches who have issues about discussing FB on myLot!

I also agree with rusale. You don't really know who your true friends are unless you get to know them. It doesn't base on what site they are registered in.
