Has anyone else published an eBook on Amazon?

I have written a children's book and am considering self-publishing it as an eBook on Amazon.
I wondered if anyone else has already done this and how easy the process is to actually upload your book onto Amazon and how successful you have been in selling copies since?
It seems that publishing work as an eBook is the way forward as books in print are becoming less popular, so is this the direction I should be taking or do I continue peddling my work around book publishers like before?

I've been working on a couple of books, and I was thinking about doing the same thing. I guess you could try to do both if you can. I personally, will for sure try amazon with one book, and maybe some other options with others. Best of luck to you, and hope you make some money from your book.
