My twin grandsons will be 3 years young this October; they were admitted in the play school at Hyderabad yesterday, see the picture how happy they look going to the school.
In our days we went to school at the age of 5, carried books in a cloth bag stitched by local tailor, there was no school uniform, we used wear shoes, the school fee was not high nor the admission fees; but our teachers, though very strict in teaching, homework etc were not so strict about uniforms or shoes; we were made to ‘kneel-down’, ‘slapped’ or bitten with sticks; but those days are gone.
Ashu and Nishu had to face interview prior to admission, their parents too were interviewed; they had to pay high fees, buy uniforms etc from school.
So at what age you, your kids, grandkids joined school?
We must give top priority to education of kids to face the world of competition.
Please respond and share your experience if any.

My daughter went to pre-school because my husband and I both worked. She liked it for a year and then not so much the following year. Then she started Kindergarden at age 5. My son started Kindergarden when he was four. The kids here in the US started wearing uniforms around 1992 if I'm not mistaken. It was nice because we no longer had to buy so many clothes. Just a lot of washing. In high school they don't wear uniforms anymore. I'm glad your grandsons were excited to start school. They'll have fun.

hello kal,
they both look very happy and excited. it can be seen from their smiles. surely they already want their new uniforms and bags and show it to their classmates. what fun it is.
yeng got to school at the age of 6 and so is thea. yeng didnt seem very happy at first but liked to go back on the second day and onwards. she said there was a child crying so she was sad. it was different for thea. she was very eager to write and to show us her drawings. she said she likes school because there are lots of songs and dancing and playing. she said she has lots of playmates there.
have a great day.

I am glad to know that your grand son is too happy to go to the school and i can see the intrest and their happiness to go to the school.
As when i was a kid there was on uniform and shoes for of to in to the school. We was just normal with our shirt and trousers. My father needs to pay very less for my education and this was the one of the signifiance and the difference between the old and new systems in school.

kalyani mam, good to hear that your twin grand sons are ready for school. Both of my sons are going to school now. My younger son started his school by this year and he is studying in pre kg. As you mentioned the fees are high, and little kids are in need to wear uniform. Anyway education is important and we must spend a lot for it
