MYLOT ,,Why I can't post some discussion...

Yeah and I am not getting notifiers this week-end for most of the comments on my responses. Some arrive and some dont and that is even worse than none at all

I agree. I think that it was "patched", not fixed. I have had a few errors in the last hour or so. Notifications have been more or less broken for months now. I am learning not to rely on them too much. I have PMed GAA about it and he says he has passed the information on but still nothing gets done. I am beginning to wonder if actually fixing all the problems is really beyond the capabilities of the programmers. There comes a point in many projects where the whole system becomes so huge and unwieldy with so many patches and modifications that the only sensible way to go is to redesign the whole thing from the ground up. Sadly, I suspect that the original designers are long gone (they were probably hired on a contract basis) and that we are left with programmers who can just make tweaks here and there to keep it going.

I thought it was just me. . .I had the same problem as everyone else last weekend (I spent way too long trying to "fix" a comment that I thought contained some random "unacceptable word" before I realized it was a mylot-wide problem LOL). But I am still having the same sketchy notification issue. I know I missed a few comments; I went back and tried to find all of the ones I hadn't responded to but I am sure I didn't catch them all. Oh well. . .

Labrat: welcome to mylot. yes it was due to maintenance/update that mylot server could not be accessed by us last week. now it is working fine. good day.
