I'm currently flailing over this Korean actor named "Lee Joon Ki" and after some searching, I was able to check out his movie entitled Virgin Snow or Hatsuyuki no Koi. He acted out with Japanese actress Miyazaki Aoi, It's a good movie. Personally, I consider it a bit sappy but really sweet. The story started when Min (Joon Ki) migrated to Japan to live with his father who works as an exchange professor who teacher pottery. While familiarizing around Kyoto he met Nanae (Miyazaki Aoi) and instantly fell in love. He happens to go to the same school as her and became good friends and of course, they became a couple. Nanae is depicted as a quiet, cheerful girl but in reality, her family is a mess. Her dad died which caused her mom to fall into deep depression and eventually, her mom developed alcohol dependency. To make matters worse, her mom hooked up with a violent man who always hurts her mom. One time her mom was badly beatup and Yuri (Nanae's sister) took a knife and planned to stab the guy. Nanae was able to stop this and hide the knife but at this point, she decided that staying in that place might cause death to them (because of her mom's partner) During this time, Min was asked to go back to Seoul since his ailing grandma wanted to meet him. Before leaving, he was able attend the Summer festival with Nanae. They exchanged gifts (Min - porcelain figure; Nanae - charm). At the Summer festival, Nanae said goodbye to Min (since she decided to move away with her family) but due to the crowd (and he lacks proficiency in Japanese language), he wasn't able to catch what she was saying. Min then flew to Seoul. While at Seoul, Min tried to contact Nanae (whom he cannot reach) and tried to call his friends to know Nanae's whereabouts. All of them are clueless. He immediately returned to Japan only to find out that Nanae left Kyoto without saying anything to him. 2 years passed and they coincidentally met in Seoul. Nanae was there for her "debut" as a painter and Min happened to see her since his friends was at the same place, performing some drum act. And it's up to you to find out what happened after :P I think they called it "Virgin Snow" since they talked about "Hasuyuki" or the first snow fall. Maybe that's when the snow is in it's purest form? Lolz~ Again, the movie's actually sappy but it's fun and sweet to watch. Imagine 2 people with different culture and they can't even understand each other well. I high recommend this movie to those who want to watch a romance film. I'll also provide a screen for screen captures (but be warned that there are spoilers in it) Not a referral link: https://picasaweb.google.com/113094909219849066842/ScapsVirginSnow?authuser=0&feat=directlink

I also love korean series and movies. i don't understand why because our cultures are very different. i though the reason why Filipinos loved Spanish and Mexican telenovelas was because we have so many practices that came from them. Well, what the heck. Thanks for mentioning this movie. I'll take a look at it. cheers

Thanks for the response and I apologize for the delay on my part :P As soon as I got hooked on Japanese and Korean dramas, for some reason, I find some Filipino soaps pretty repetitive and too long! Lolz! I hope you're able to watch the movie ;)
