Yet another mystery in the mystery man's portfolio. Barack and Michelle Obama VOLUNTARILY gave up their law liscenses. And Barack was NEVER a law professor. President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a “lawyer”. He surrendered his license back in 2008 in order to escape charges he lied on his bar application. A “Voluntary Surrender” is not something where you decide “Gee, a license is not really something I need anymore, is it?” and forget to renew your license. No, a “Voluntary Surrender” is something you do when you’ve been accused of something, and you ‘voluntarily surrender” your license five seconds before the state suspends you. Michelle Obama “voluntarily surrendered” her law license in 1993. after a Federal Judge gave her the choice between surrendering her license or standing trial for Insurance fraud! Facts.Source: jdlong.wordpress.com/2009/05/15/pres-barack-obama-editor-of-the-Harvard-law-review-has-no-law-license/ University lies for Obama? A senior lecturer is one thing, a fully ranked law professor is another. Barack Obama was NOT a Constitutional Law Professor at the University of Chicago . The University of Chicago released a statement in March 2008 saying Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) “served as a professor” in the law school-but that is a title Obama, who taught courses there part-time, never held, a spokesman for the school confirmed in 2008. “He did not hold the title of Professor of Law,” said Marsha Ferziger Nagorsky, an Assistant Dean for Communications and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago School of Law. Source: http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2008/03/sweet_obama_did_hold_the_title.html This is the former editor of the Harvard Law Review who doesn’t seem to give a crap about his law license. Something else odd; while the Search feature brings up the names, any seaches for the Disciplinary actions ends quicky. As in, Too Quickly. Less than a half-second quickly on a Search Engine that can take five seconds to Search for anything. As in, “there’s a block on that information” kind of thing. So we have the first Lawyer President and First Lady — who don’t actually have licenses to practice law.

I'm seeing a trend, Dems are leaving him by the droves. CNN and some of the other media outlets are beginning to question him...

Do you think that a man who would do these things would have any qualms about winning an election any way he could?

The only good thing about Obama's 4 years is that people are finally starting to view him for what he is/ Opening the borders and changing his view on marriage to get votes is only the beginning of what he'll do to stay in office.

Hi Deb, I checked with Snopes and with Fact Checker and it says that he and his wife were never disciplined. However, my SIL read that Barak had a pant load of parking tickets between Oct 5 1988 and January 12 1990 that he never owned up to. I don't think he thought they were important, but they became important before he ran for president. This might have been the reason he gave up his license? Snopes said that both he and Michelle can practice law again if they want to.. they just need to reinstate their licenses....aparently (it didn't say that) That's what I found when I searched. Snopes says it's not true that Barak gave up his license for questionable reasons. I just looked up 50 lies told by obama... and all the rest I noticed you said is true.. he was not a professor or a constitutional lawyer.. he was a senior lecturer who was on LEAVE. I believe that Barak Obama is a leader who supports terrorism to the United States. I believe that if he could, he would be a lifetime dictator... that can't happen unless he somehow is able to dismantle the constitution... on wait! The constitution is WORTHLESS... he finds a way to go around it to do what he wants... like make executive decisions that don't include congress.

A long time ago I did some research on Snopes, the married couple who started the site are Democrats. No one lives in a vacuum. People can claim all they want to being objective, but their worldview affects their thinking, their actions. I do not trust snopes and always continue searching even after I've consulted them. If you think about it why would BOTH of them give up their licenses after ALL that student loan debt to get them. I've heard Obama go on and on about how he and Michelle 'struggled' to get out of debt, he even recently cited as a reason Michelle HAD TO WORK and not be a stay at home mom like Ann Romney. So, why give up a lucrative source of income? It just doesn't make sense, the left knows we cannot get to the records of why due to privacy laws, so a little half-truth here, a misconception there, a twisting of facts to make it all ok?

My nephew is a tax lawyer who teaches law, he's worked for the DOJ. He says he knows lawyers who are in their 90s and retired that STILL keep up the license. I know doctors, nurses who are retired and do the same thing. You don't spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get the license and then just let it lapse.

You have a point Deb. I thought Snopes was a site to be trusted... because everyone goes to that site as THE authority... most of the people I know who do say they are the one trusted authority are liberal. I'm a retired nurse, Deb... and after becoming disabled for many years it was very evident that I would never be able to work again. I let my license lapse sometime after that, because there was no sense of paying $70 (then) to keep my license up that I would never use again. I'm sure it's even more now. In fact, after letting it go, I thought about getting it back just to have and they said I would have to go back to nursing school and take the boards again in order to work. If I had been under 3 years after lapsing I could have renewed.. but after 3 years they didn't let me. Even thought it is just once a year, I can't afford to spend money on a license that I will never use. That's just me... if my finances were different, I might feel differently.

I didn't know all about Michelle's giving up her license for insurance fraud. This is a gem. This shows you that they do not have enough scruples to keep their law license.
