How many of you charged their cellphones in the office?

I remembered a certain guard who keeps on scolding me for using electric outlets in the office to charge my gadgets. This is fun, I keep on doing it, pissing him off more and same cycle all over again. he dare me for an absolute escalation in the management. LOLZ; to think that even Operation managers are also charging theirs in the office. In the end, they can't do anything about it. I know that they're just doing their jobs restricting the "outlaws" from "stealing" company's resources but what will you do if your phone ran out of juice and you're expecting an important call? Or what if you have to send an important email and you can't use the company computer? Let me know how you feel about it. Happy mylotting :)

Our company doesn't really have an issue with charging ones phone at work but our company forbids the phones to be used while working. A company can't restrict its employees too much or else they will turn and not work properly and waste more time out of disgust etc.

Hey TeamCholent , Don't you people are allowed to use the mobile phone during your office works ? We people are much free and we have the full freedom to use the mobile phones but we workers should make sure that we do our job well on time. So, how do you deal with emergency calls ?

This is a common practice here in the country (Philippines) In all of the companies i have worked for i think people are all always ready to have their cellular phones charged in the office because it is what people do. it is convenient and we actually spend a great deal amount of time at work, so i think it is really what people are mostly doing, and companies does lose a portion of the resources to us charging with their electricity... i think they are used to it anyway. he he

They do it at my job too. I don't care much. Most people only have a cell phone, no house phone, and if they have no car charger then they have to charge it somewhere. It does bother me if they are online or talking on the phone during the work day though.

We people don't have such restrictions to use our companies resources to certain extend. I mostly used to charge my phone from the office if I had found that the phone's battery is going to be down. No one scolds or warn me if I charge my phone in public and all of my friends just do the same.
