This product is starting to lose its appeal to me. I must say this bath soap losses it's usual fragrance and hopefully not it's antibacterial power too. My parents uses this product ever since they were babies. It's been passed to us because they trusted and patronize this one for decades. Some of my friends have the same complaint like we have now. I'm planning to search in the web for similar complaints. Or we are the only one who is experiencing this. No big deal though. I just want to know if you have the same experience. Have you ever had an experience losing interest or lost an interest to a trusted-for-years, number 1 brand? Do you switched on the number 2 brand? And why? I just want to know you more myLot friends. Thanks

Yes I have some experience on losing interest to a most trusted brand laundry powder soap and bar because I think they become more harmful, expensive yet losing the right quality. Now I preferred to use those not so popular detergent bar and powder soap who giving good satisfaction, less expensive, less harmful and very effective in removing dirt to our clothes.

Detergent soaps are the same like the bath soap too. I found some of those leading brands seem their appeal is fading. But quality really is what is important. Thanks

Hi mikyung, there is also a popular bath soap that we have been using since our childhood. Such soap always has different charming celebrity shown on its wrapping. We had shifted from this to body shampoo for quite a long time. For it's more convenient and easy to use when showering. At present I have a bar of olive oil bath soap placing in the soap holder beside the bottle of shower cream. I bought the packet of soap during my vacation in Turkey three years back. It's dark green in color and its fragrance is not that attractive Happy posting

we have been using dove before and i remember my mom buys a lot of them even and stocks on them ever since dove has been manufactured locally here in the philippines i think the quality of the product has deteriorated. it was not like what it was before, if you ask me. Dometimes these companies does not live up to the same quality they were known for. Anyway, i have not thought of going for the 2nd known brand usually i would buy myself a new product that i think is of better quality, does not matter what rank it is in the market.

I agree. I would do that. Quality really counts for us consumers. Thanks

i think its because of the economy every where. all products seem to be less quality because of the price of some ingredients they may have added more of before. everything is smaller and less quality these days. its like big macs from McDonalds. i could swear they were lots bigger and more tasty a few years ago

I think that too bunnybon7. I even think that I'm losing my sense of smell now. I hope it's not. Now that I know some also are experiencing it now. Thanks

good day mikyung, well, i was also exposed to that kind of issue. having a soap needed to change because they have reduced their quality. and i am always after the quality of a product. though there are times i am patronizing the class A & B products but, it depends on the situation. as most often times, i do look closely on the type how it was made and the quality where it originates. and whenever i discover something odd, i suddenly change the product and look for a better one.

Mikyung, that's inevitable because of change. We don't really expect to receive the same satisfaction on a product that used to satisfy us over the years. Somehow, ingredients also change or disappear and they make use of alternatives that don't give the same effect. Just like you, i have been loyal to some products like the soap i used to boast. I don't have the soap anymore and i'm using an alternative. Luckily, the main ingredients of the soaps i've been using are just available in our backyard. I would boil them and use them as a final rinse. i don't have to buy anymore. As long as the soil in our backyard is not contaminated, I believe the plants there will not evolve!

My father used to buy life boy soap for us. we use the same soap for many years. I feel great by using it. It doesn't have much good smell but it makes me to feel that I am clean after using it.

I can see that. Just a few question thewonderboy. Are we losing our sense of smell of it the manufacturers that are saving some of their usual materials? I wonder why.
