I have an aunt (my mom's cousin) who was rich, they had numerous cars, 2 houses in a well-known subdivision in Metro Manila and other properties all around the Philippines. Whenever we had money problems they were always there to the rescue, their family was very generous and did a lot of mission work and feeding programs. In one of those, they found a wandering 3 yr old boy who was malnourished and and was fighting with dogs for food. They looked for his family and found out that his father was out of town looking for a job and the relatives who were supposed to take care of him abused him and poked him with burning cigarettes.
They adopted him and loved him as their own unfortunately, tragedy came and they lost their money along with the sickness and death of 2 family members. They lost their businesses, let go of their helpers and had only one house left. Even the school bills were for last year was not settled.
Now it's our turn to help them out. They had no choice but to let the boy live with us just so he could continue with his studies. He has been with us for 2 weeks now and he has to go through a lot of adjustments. We try our very best to make him feel loved and accepted. Thankfully he has accepted the situation with a smile and since his family visits him every week he doesn't seem to feel homesick very much.
Have you ever been in a situation where your help was greatly needed but for you to help out means that you had to take up a huge responsibility?

This happens in my friend's life. Their family is not well doing and her father worked hard every day to make his five children to learn. Their condition is like a tight knot without anyway to escape from financial problems. They got some help from their maternal side. Later one of her aunt left her child with them for schooling. In that financial situation, they helped that child too. It is a divine work to help a child to get education.
