I'm thinking of not exercising my right of suffrage or vote anymore. I am not really sure if this is the best move for me not to become part of a future bad governance from a bad candidate.. I am slowly losing my trust to any politicians now.. Would you blame me or are you with me?

Well I think that it is your right to vote or not to vote in any political exercise. But I still believe that it is more of a waste if you do not exercise this because you do not have a good choice out there. Somewhere between the choices available to you there is still one that is of lesser evil. If you are staying in your country and you did not act on your right to vote then evil will indeed prosper because of your non participation to choose between what you think would be right for the place you are living. I guess for countries with the right to vote they take this for granted already. But for those countries that does not have this right they are nt given the choice to decide for themselves and must follow what is available for them.

Some rights just like our right of suffrage are worthy to be waived when mostly needed to clear ones conscience... Thanks rsa101..

Well if that is your choice then I cannot stop you anyway. But waiving that right, would it make an impact/change in your country? Your right to vote is your voice and keeping that mum would negate your right to voice your choice.

Well, I can really understand you due to the rampant graft and corruption in our government here. There are various people in power that are not that deserving and just won by means of vote buying or other fraud actions. However, no matter what the consequences we are in, we should exercise our right to suffrage. Not voting is just like not doing anything which I do believe the worst thing to do. Another thing would be, if you will not vote, you are just the same as the politicians whom you mentioned in your post. To sum it up, exercising it should be a must for every citizen. On the coming election, I am planning to gather some information about our candidates and post their platforms, pictures, backgrounds on social networking site in order for the voter to be aware of who to vote and how to choose. That is just one simple way of making a change.

@ Kenshin2143, I think change really starts from ones-self. And this is the change I want to start with. To stop voting for the meantime and avoiding the history of being an accomplice either innocently or knowledgeably by voting the wrong guy to any position. I simply hate when in the future and after casting my vote, I would come to realize that my only one vote was just wasted.. Thanks...
