The UNESCO has announced that the Banaue rice terraces is no longer on the list of being endangered and that needs to be protected. The banaue rice terraces showed such decrease in the rice plants because of many factors. lack of money to buy supply of grains. and the lack of pesticides and the lack of interest of the natives to continue with planting. and so when it was included on the list of UNESCO national heritage that are in danger, the local government had a concerted effort with other group or associations and also with local planters or farmers to bring back the beauty of the place. thankfully it is one good place to visit again. but i have not been there actually. wish i have the time to do that .
