I think it's synonymous with happy posting. I don't find people who write happy mylotting annoying and arrogant. For me, it's more of a courtesy.

In the same way that offline we would say 'happy shopping' or 'have a good trip', here we say 'happy Lotting' because we are on myLot and while we are we are myLotting surely?
What would you want people to say that would not be 'annoying' for you?

Oh when I say it, it is not my signature. It is because the conversation has drawn to an end and it just feels right to say it.

Happy mylotting! feels like they think they are experts, and you are not, it's like they are saying break a leg. I know that I am taking it all wrong, just thought I would express my opinion on the matter. I know that they don't mean to sound arrogant, it's just one of those pet peevs that you can't shake.

Do you feel the same way when someone ends a conversation with something like, "Have a nice day"?
I often just say, "Thanks" at the end of my posts, do you get annoyed by that, too? I mean, I'm thanking the people for just reading to the end of what I wrote, in where what I really want, is for them to respond. Is that annoying and arrogant?
Thanks! and, Happy Mylotting! ;)

Hello, dansazz. I normally say it only to those who are new. Those who have less than 100 next to their name. the reason is because they are new and I would like them to feel comfortable.
For you, since you are well past that, I will end it like this, Have a great day.
That is my customary ending.

I don't think it is arrogant at all. It is a nice way of saying have fun here. =) I like when they say it, doesn't bother me at all.

I've been here for a long time already...and I always see that "greeting" thing in here from people...and I also...most of the time...end my discussion or comment with that.
It just doesn't bug me at all. And I am used to it.
But we are all really different so I respect your part.
Have a great day...

There is absolutely nothing annoying or arrogant when someone says Happy Mylotting. It is the same as saying Have a Good Day, Have a Great Weekend or whatever. It is a person's way of being friendly and making you feel welcomed. Nothing arrogant about that at all. Perhaps you should ask yourself why it annoys you so much.
Have a great day!

Hmmmm I have read the responses here and I don't see where you have explained that other than to say that you don't know why. Whatever.
You are right, everyone has their own opinions here and that's what makes this a great site. We can share different viewpoints and opinions. Life in general would be pretty boring without different points of view, as would mylot.

How does this sound arrogant? If you had a conversation with someone and they ended it with "have a nice day" is this also arrogant? I'm not having a go at you I'm just trying to understand why you think this way. I think it's the same sort of thing. If you are on MyLot you are Mylotting I suppose and they wish you to be happy whilst doing it :D
For the record I don't think I have ever said it but I have said "Hi Mylotters" before I think. I don't even remember now :D

Well we can't all like everything and that's fair enough. There are some things that just bug me too for no apparent reason so this is just the thing that bugs you that's all :)

Same to you!
