http://realestate.yahoo.com/news/5-high-tech-smart-homes-for-the-super-rich.html?page=1 i would love to own a house but i can never see myself needing or even wanting one this big. i dont see the point in ever having something this big. and honestly i think that people that have enough money to buy something like this just like to throw away their money would you ever want a house this big or "smart"? why or why not?

We just got a house - and we are thrilled that we even were able to get one - but it is NO WHERE close in size to the one on your link! I am having a heck of time just getting things situated in our little humble place . . . how in the world would I even manage (or clean) such a gigantic dwelling?! I think my kids would get lost in there - ha ha. We have enough gadgetry in this place . . . I don't need anymore to mess with . . . I am happy with what we've got! Looking into the future, I think I'd have better things to spend my money on . . . like traveling, doing things with family, making sure we have enough money to retire, tuition for college for the kids, etc. I want to live in a house where I can live comfortably . . . but certainly I don't need a palace! (But if someone were to hand me one, ok, I'll take it - ha ha).

The cost of upkeep and repair work would be cray unless you had a steady income of $150,000/year upwards. In California it is bad enough with the cost of property tax etc.
