It is known that cashew nuts have significant sources of …..
- iron which is essential for red blood cell function and enzyme activity which
helps a lot to lower cardiovascular disease risk,
- protein levels of cashew nuts are high relative to other vegetable protein sources,
- magnesium which promotes energy release and bone growth also shows that nutrient content is high,
- phosphorus that builds bones and teeth,
- zinc which is essential to digestion and metabolism,
- selenium that has important antioxidant properties, thus protecting the body from cancer.
The best way of intake cashewnut is eighteen medium cashews count as one serving may be around 30 grams. Don’t eat more than three servings per week, unless you need to gain weight – then you can add two more servings to your weekly intake. I like it especially with fruit shakes…and roasted….

After reading the benefits listed, I have learned a lot more about cashew nuts. Sometimes we buy cashew nuts from our local supermarkets. I used to know that nuts of any kinds are good to our health, but I did not know the details. I appreciate this informative discussion of yours from which I have learned so much. Thank you, Shamrack. Have a good day.

Cashew nuts have proven cardiovascular benefits.A handful of cashews would be of supportive regimen in raising HDL cholesterol, thereby reducing the bad one viz LDL. Preference should always be for the plain variety of cashew rather than roasted and salted.
