Salaries are meant to be broken?

Tommorow is payday at my office! We are being paid twice a month, broken down into 2- 15th and 30th. Sometimes I wonder if being paid by the hour is better than bi-monthly. Better in terms of spending and savings as well? For you, what's the basis of your salary? Hours worked? Number of tasks completed? Quality of work? Are you being paid by the hour or just like me? Which is better in your own opinion? Do you experience both? I just want to know your thoughts. Thanks

I'm being paid weekly by the hours I worked per day. It really works for me. My salary is just enough for my family though I can save even a little. I think, no matter what is the timing of payment of wages - hourly or monthly or bimonthly, the total salary will be just the same, as long as you have the disciple, you will be able to save. Thanks.

I work as a media observer, that means we have to type in tv and radio shows into a database, so obviously, my salary is based on achievement and efficiency (mor exaczly we get paid by the show/program-minute we write). If there is a chance, and I can really count on myself to achieve the stuff, getting paid by task and stuff is better, because you can put your priorities in order and work more if you need to. But when the job is a temporary job and you really can't calculate how you're going to do (like telesales and stuff), I kind if opt for the hourly wage.

hi mikyung I worked part time ion o ur local branch library as a p ae. We were paid every two weeks which I loved as it was dependable along with mysocial security as I was past 70 I could work as much as I w anted and not get anything taken ouf of my s ocial security checks. It was not a high paying job bu t I loved the work and the crew I worked with.It was a county job and as the county went broke with one o f the city dads having embezzled a lotof money our wages were set in concrete.

I'm a stay at home mom so I don't get paid. But my husband he works hourly and he gets paid bi-weekly. So I know every 2 weeks at midnight when it turns Friday finally that he has gotten paid and that its in the bank. He has set up for his pay check to put direct deposit into our bank so we don't have to worry about getting it in at a certain time.

Hi Mikyung! I am being paid per day and if I have overtime, that would be per hour. Anyways, like you, they are paying us twice a month but it's on the 5th and 20th of the month. And I like it that way because I am used to it and I could budget everything up. Happy earnings!
