Homework help as in Chemistry, Maths... Well, I'm preparing for a pre-U exam this November so I was wondering if some people don't mind if I have questions on basic organic chemistry.

MyLot is not really an ideal place to do this. First of all, MyLot discourages the posting of questions which are not discussions. Most of the 'homework help' type of questions I have seen simply require an explanatory or factual answer, so they can never develop into a discussion. I have seen many such 'discussions' disappear because they violate one or other of the Guidelines (they are most often "poll type" questions).
Secondly, while you may find a number of people prepared to respond, you have no guarantee that the people answering are actually qualified to to help you. There is a saying: "If the blind lead the blind, then both shall fall into the ditch!" You would usually be better off (and would likely learn more) using the MyLot Search engine (or any other search engine) to research your question.
There are plenty of 'homework help' websites on many topics. I suggest that you find those sites and forums and use them, rather than MyLot.

Hi there Desiree91!
I think it is okay if you can't really find the answers or the help that you need anywhere else in the internet. Although it was not academics-related, I have tried asking for answers here in Mylot twice now. The first one was about the article that I was writing for our magazine which was about blogs. The second one was for the research that I made for one of my major subjects when i was in college.

But maybe not so many people would respond since maybe only a few of us know about those stuff. Even i know nothing about organic chemistry..
