I have clearer vision with contact lenses and don't have to worry about them breaking or getting dirty as much as with glasses when I am actually wearing them.

I wear daily disposable contact lenses. They are like I have perfect eyesight. When I take them out I have to wear my glasses. I can feel the frame on my face and see less. I prefer contact lenses to glasses.

I only use contact lenses when going out. I find it cumbersome to wear glasses when commuting or when I have to be in the "outside world" so to speak. When working at home, I wear glasses. When going out, I wear contact lenses.

I love to wear glasses. With contacts, it would be a struggle to insert them. How could you do it without scratching your eyes out?

I wear eyeglasses and not contact lenses. I prefer eyeglasses because I think they are much easier to take on and off. And even if my hands are not 100% clean, touching the eyeglasses to remove them or put them on won't put any germs in my eyes. Also, it seems that every other day or so, there is dirt or an eyelash irritating my eye. I'd hate to rub my eye only to forget I had the contacts in & have them bend or something like that. Another reason I prefer the eyeglasses is because I feel they provide a little bit of protection for me. I saw a documentary called Crazy Love about a man who threw lye in a woman's face and it blinded her in one eye. I know prescription eyeglasses are not safety goggles, but I'd rather have something than nothing. In fact, my eyeglasses have already protected my eyes. A couple of years ago, I was on the bus sitting in the aisle seat, when a man walked by. His jacket was open and zipper on flipped back and came flying to my face. It happened so fast yet slowly, & I couldn't do anything but watch. The zipper hit directly on my eyeglasses lens. There is a tiny scratch where it hit them. If I weren't wearing them, it would have hit me in my eye! The only reason I'd wear contacts is to change my eye color, and even then, I'd wear non-prescription contacts with my prescription eyeglasses.

I am using contact lens now but still have my eyeglasses.I used to be in contact lens for 6 days in a week and take rest of using it during Sunday. It is quite hard at first but I am used to it now.You really have to know and follow the safety precautions and proper way of wearing it. I still have my eyeglasses in case I am lazy to put my contacts or in place where in contact lens is not applicable.

With lenses you have to take lot of precautions if you live sophisticated life than lenses are ok occasionally. otherwise glasses are always preferable.

I use glasses since first grade and I have never felt a reason to hide the "disorders" of my eyes. I have been using glasses for almost my entire life, and I guess that I keep using them for mant years. However, I must say that I was using contact lenses for a few days in the past, but that was for a very specific reason (playing volleyball). but, I had problems with taking them off, and they were not comfortable in my eyes, so I decided to stop using them and returend to my old good glasses.

Glasses is easier to wear and more practical. You can wear it everyday and last longer than contact lenses. Contact lenses however as you said can hide the disorders of the eye and usually good on parties and such and you can choose the color too. I would prefer to have glasses over contact lenses because it is more comfortable to wear and also you cannot wear contact lenses everyday, just a few times a week because it might irritate your eyes.
