Is it possible for your wife to fall in love with her school friend?

I often read articles about divorce cases due to wives or husbands having an affair with someone he or she used to be friends with when in school. At the beginning of their meeting, everything was just nothing to suspect--they talked, asking each other's personal life, children and family. At the second, the third, and so on they often had more communication via phone calls or SMSes. This develops into a more intimate relationship. What's your take on this my friends?

Sure it can happen. And then other women will of course restrain themselves. I think if the woman has this so called meeting planned then something is up right there that smells.
Personally if the tables were turned and my husband told me he had a meeting planned with a girl he went to school with or if he was in contact with her, there would be trouble I can tell you that. Lots of trouble.

You see that such cases happen when marriage has been for so many years--children are grown up. If having an affair happen at an early age of the marriage, this will not really hurt. My boss got divorced when he was about to retire. His wife had an affair with a man she often met outside.

A person can have an affair with anyone i guess. And the more it is possible to have one with a classmate or a friends before since you can relate a lot with each other. @yanzalong (19091)

This is what I am scared about. It does not mean that I don't trust my wife, but recently she has got her school friend's name in her mobile phone book. They have sent each other SMSes. I did not to ask what was the smses were all about.

I think sms's are harmless. I speak to people from high school sometimes on face book. But if I decided to meet up with one of those people somewhere I think my husband would have a right to want to know whats going on.
Maybe you should do a little detective work. Like secretly try to read the messages. Then if its nothing you never have to tell her you spied? Just a suggestion. I know I have checked my husbands history on the computer periodically just to ease my mind.

I imagine it is possible. I imagine that if they had crushes on each other back then or dated then it is more apt to be possible and especially if there is trouble in the marriage or the marriage has become dull and routine. After a while couples stop trying and tend to take each other for granted. A long comes this man who shows an interest in what she has to say and makes her feel attractive and well....it does happen.

It's quite possible. With the help of social networking such as Facebook, it has become easier for everyone to connect with people from their past. I'd say one of negative things about Facebook is that such connection can intrude or even destroy current relationships.

The more they communicate, the easier they find to be closer. This allow them to react to each other sexually.
