so many celebrities were cheerleaders

Yeah, i was just looking at high school pictures of celebrities and most of them were cheerleaders. It must have been a really famous thing to do in America. 
Some are: Cameron Diaz,Kirsten Dunst, Sandra bullock (shocking)..halle berry, jen Lawrence, Fergie, Reese Witherspoon, meryl Streep.. and they looked pretty good in it.

Perhaps that has to do with their out-going, active personalities. Being cheerleaders, they had to be performing for the audiences or the fans of their teams. And they must train a lot to be familiarized with the routines and that is a quality very useful in the entertainment business.
