"106 Degrees Fahrenheit"?! SERIOUSLY??? The fleas are back too...

This would probably be a good time to go to the beach today. I mean, on Friday (7-29-2012) mom did warn me that it was going to get ridiculously hot this weekend, and the day afterward, after walked to a nearby place to buy dinner, I checked a freeware weather program that I downloaded off of Snapfiles.com, Weather Pulse, and it was, and i'm not joking, 102 degrees fahrenheit! Today, I check Weather Pulse gain, and now it's friggin' 106 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT!!! As if that wasn't enough, the other personal problem was that I was also getting bit by fleas YET AGAIN, and i'm burning through another lamp to use in the soapwater lamp trap, and it only got 1, possibly 2 fleas, and they're smaller than the ones I captured last year. Earlier last month they were visibly big. Now I got so many flea bites that you can read Braille off of it, and i've left my lamp lit without it's shade night and day near a pan... (4:27PM 7-1-2012 today: There's another flea on my LCD screen?! What the hell???) ...of hot water, but i'm running out of dishwater soap for it to work. So not only is the heat getting so damn ridiculous, but now the fleas are just going to pour salt into the wound by biting into my ankles and arms, itching like hell, and i'm already not feeling so good. Plus I got to get a replacement mouse since every time I left-double-click, it registers as a single click messing me up, and when I tried to drag and drop, it messes up and I lose what I was holding onto when I was clicking and dragging. Now I have to use Microsoft Word 97 Professional to type this up since a recent power outage on Friday ruined my text files and screwed up my journal of what dreams I saw recently. The only thing I can do is pull out a few of my frozen water bottles out of my fridge, and it was a good thing I was prepared for something like this by buying and freezing plenty of water bottles so I can let the heat thaw out the ice and making the bottles drinkable. Again, the beach or the pool is a best place to cool down during a heat wave such as this one. Too bad I don't drive. Do any one of you also prepare for heat waves like what's happening this weekend, and what did you do about it?

In situations like this, I simply do not leave the house. Heat makes me faint and nauseous. Good luck!
