This is my third discussion regardless about the Future Dutch reality show Mars one, where they will send people to Mars for real and have them stay there for life. So Yeah The creator of Big Brother and deal or No deal decided to use his Billions to colonize Mars so he can have a reality show....
This makes me think, the people who will live there will be stuck on their pressurized shelters and domed cities in the future for life. They will have to wear space suits outside. The gravity will be lighter, Their Diet will be vegan for a reason I explained in old discussions.
Those humans will be the first Martians, after generations of living there, inside those pressurized shelters and having less gravity than an average earthling, do you think those people will evolve into a new human species due to a different living condition. After four generations they may look different to the Humans on earth. Humans manage to create a new species before, Dogs only existed because humans has domesticated wolves for centuries and they became a different species from wolves.
Ferrets use to be weasels and Humans manage to make a new species of tamed animals out of the wild weasels.
Will humans who lives in a colony inside a dead planet be the same from humans on earth after generations.

Well I guess that would entail large amount of capital just to push through with that endeavor. I think that no humans has tried pushing their luck going there as of yet.
I doubt that it would take some time to really earn money from it since I can imagine the setup from the participants to the props will have to take more time than expected.

Well NASA has just recently sent another robotic probe in that planet and they started studying the martian plane. So far none has dared to build a colony in the planet as well. So I think your post is a bit far and advance still to become a reality.
But theoretically any human that is separated from where they belong will develop into a new culture of their own. If you would recall Australia where they were first a dumping site for convicted UK criminals before. Now that they are completely separated from their UK culture their dialect, intonation and many other things changed and now we can see that they have changed already and you can distinctly see the difference between and Englishman and an Australian.

I found out pure oxygen is actually harmful to human body, I think the pressurized dome should not produce pure oxygen. There are actually other gases humans need to survive.I wonder if the first Martians will develop a different culture, accent and language.

Its now a race between Nasa and the Dutch to get there first in Mars, I am excited who will get there first. Australian accent is similar to British accent but it is indeed different. I am sure only 50 years of colonization is needed to create culture. Just imagine someday those humans who will live in mars will develop their own cuisine and music as well.

It took the cold war,a heck of a lot of funding and competition with the USSR for us to get someone onto the moon..And as NASA has yet to land a human on Mars, I can only imagine it's gonna be a long time before a private investor manages to get a reality TV show up and running on another planet..Are they even considering who's going to go there yet?

auditions are not open yet but they already have funds before Nasa did.
almost every country in the world have a Big Brother,The Voice and deal or no deal on TV, so yeah the owner of Endemol is literally a billionaire. He wanted to open the global auditions next year.
I can imagine this:
day 1 on Mars- Astronauts: Yay its so cool we will live in Mars
2 days later- Astronauts: I am bored.....

it's gonna be a darn sight more boring for the "House Members" stuck in a pressurised bubble on the surface of another planet with no way back home...and how far is that again from the nearest Big Mac?!

I watched a 24/7 feed of big brother before and its boring, the contestants are bored as they wait for their next task or challenge. But it looks entertaining in primetime because they remove all the boring parts on tv.
I think that goes with this show.

I think until there is a baby born on Mars that a new species will be born. It will be interesting to see how civilization organizes once the colonists start organizing. I'm curious to see the politics os such a colony.

for sure in the first 4 decades, they wont have money, There wont be a martian currency yet, They may be able to get online shopping for music and soft wares cos they will be provided internet connection but for sure they wont be able to order pizza at Pizza hut. The reason why i think the first babies to be born there will be evolved, aside from the Vegan diet they will be forced to, the lesser gravity will develop their bodies differently.
