After hearing of the loss of yet another TV icon just reminds me of how old I am getting. Andy Griffith will be missed and I am sure the TV will be loaded with his shows on the stations dedicated to the shows of our youth. I am sure there are many of us here who might have their favorite shows that Andy Griffith stared in from The Andy Griffith Show to Matlock. Well wishes go out to his family and friends he will be missed by all and will live in immortality on TV's everywhere.

hi steelers! my family was a huge fan of andy griffith and all his shows! i have watched him on television all my life so it seems like he's a relative! he seemed to be a genuinely good man and very talented...i got to visit his home town, mt. airy, a few years ago which was a beautiful town...they have a museum in his honor there and a diner called goobers filling station! i once saw him play a villain , in the movie with johnny cash, "murder in coweta county" and it was so odd to see him like that but he was very good at portraying a mean evil guy, very convincing! i also liked him as matlock....the best andy griffith shows in my opinion were the ones when the darling family came to town!

I have never seen the movie where he played a villain and I might have to see if it is even available to be viewed anymore. I know how you feel about him being like a relative for we grew up with Andy Griffith for so many years it is hard to imagine TV without him anymore.

Yes Andy will be missed.as are so many of the old guard. They don't make films or TV shows like they did in the bygone days. So many of today's sitcom are so trashy. The ones made for kids are just plane silly. May be I'm just getting old because I miss the type of shows like the "Andy Griffith show", "Father knows best", "The Danny Thomas show". and just recently we lost Don Grady the oldest brother from "My three Sons". These were all kid friendly too.

it is sad to see another person pass away who was involved in the 'heyday' of tv (during the 50's and 60's). those were the days when a whole family could actually sit down and watch a tv show together and it didn't have to be rated!
