If you're at all familiar with this franchise you may know so far there's been an airliner that exploded shortly after takeoff, a horrific multi-car chain-reaction wreck on an interstate highway, a high speed roller coaster that jumped the track and a crowded speedway grandstand that collapsed during an auto racing event. In each case there were massive casualties but a handful of potential victims managed to escape because one of them had a "premonition" of impending disaster. Unfortunately, it seems their "numbers were up" and you really CAN'T cheat death! Let's think now, what disasters are there left for the next sequel, this one being number 5? If you guessed "a bridge collapse" you're absolutely right! In "Final Destination 5" after you get a little background on the characters so you can decide which of the most obnoxious among them you'd like to see go first, a group of coworkers are on a bus heading to a weekend work retreat. While the bus is stopped in traffic on a huge bridge due to repairs being done one young man has a vision of - you guessed it - the bridge collapsing, cars falling into the water far below and his friends dying in various horrifyingly gory ways. Needless to say, he insists on immediately getting off the bus. A few reluctant friends follow him even though they kind of thought he was crazy; a few more soon realized he was NOT crazy and also decide to follow but some of them were too late. Do these movies all follow a predictable formula? Of course they do! Are they still downright entertaining and often VERY scary? Of course! There are times when you KNOW something is going to happen to someone, sometimes you even have a pretty good idea WHAT is going to happen but when it does you'll STILL jump out of your seat. "Final Destination 5" is no exception. I'm especially interested in reading what you thought of the ending and what you took away from it. I don't want to give too much away but if you've seen it you'll probably know what I mean. Annie

For some reason with these movies they seem to make tons of sequels. I know that they do get watered down after like the second one. But there is an audience for them and as long as there are people out there that want to see them, they will make them. And as far as disasters, there are many things they can come up with. I also know that they do become predictable. But the people want to see them. It's like those super hero movies, Spiderman, Batman and Superman. They can make tons of those movies as well.

You're right, the scenarios are limitless really. As long as they make hundreds of millions of dollars they're going to continue making them, that's for sure! Annie
