How to prepare Stone Wash Hair?

I just saw a blog about Stone Wash Hair but the problem is that. They didn't reveal the stuff about it. They just give a glimpse of the initial procedure then later on the next they showed is the final outcome of the haircut. The hairstylist is from USA. So theirs no way I could have haircut or hairdo just like that.

Stone wash hair? I've never heard of it, what does it look like? I have just discovered some new nail polish techniques on the Internet called Water swirl nail polish, it is on youtube and I thought about trying it after my nails get somewhat longer again ( which I doubt will happen as I wash too many dishes per day daily!).
