Once more we see the UN for what it really is a group of Dictators taking from the world Democracies and giving it to Dictators. It seems that the World Intellectual Property Organization, or WIPO, shipped High Tech computers to North Korea and Iran in direct violation to UN mandates. They shipped the computers and nobody seems to know why.

A few years ago we had the Iraq Oil for Food program was very successful for Saddam Hussein because he was able to use the food to buy weapons, the UN officals who supervised the program and some of their children were able to make a fortune and avoid prosecution because they were consider diplomats.
With Libya, Saudi Arabia, Cuba and such sitting on the Human Rights commission and wanting to spend time investigating AZ because they are trying to secure their border.
Once again it is time to call for the US to pull out. Maybe we should depend on such things as the military alliance NATO. The other suggestions by Charles Krauthammer is to form a group of World Democracies to replace the UN. If you follow the actions of the UN they are very much for taking from the rich nations and giving it to poor countries. Take from Democracies and give it to Dictators. Sound great and I am sure they will use it to improve the life of the people in their countries. RIGHT

This is why I'm against any, and all world government political bodies.
Any group that is supposed to have a higher authority than a sovereign nation, is a danger to all nations. Equally any group with more than 2 nations in it, will end up being ruled by the majority, of which there are more bad stupid idiot nations, than good ones.
We should pull out, and cut off fiscally, the UN. It should be completely disbanded.

The problem there is, whose definition of Democracy do you want to use? In theory Hugo Chavez was democratically elected. But of course the Chavistas were shooting people who opposed Chavez.... but he was still from a technical perspective, elected democratically.
it's practically impossible to real determine or prove what is, or is not a dictator. And even then, some dictators are supported by the public of their respective countries.
By opposing them, we'd only stir up international hatred for ourselves and other countries that denied those dictators their place in the world body.
Again, my solution is to simply not have a world body. You really think Russia is an actual democracy? And if it is, you realize Russia has supported nearly every dictator there is?
How would we create any world body, and not have such major players as China and Russia? Better not to have a group at all.

I have yet to see any benefit from the United Nations. Our country pours in massive amounts of money to have people like Iran head up committees on human rights. That alone should set off alarms. Then that they think they can legislate America and take away our rights, well, I would probably vote for Al Sharpton if he could get us out of the UN. I really really hope I would never have to vote for Sharpton!
