Are you the person who just work for the benefit of the company? or just keep on impressing your boss? What's the effect and difference between the two?

DevertLC It is true if there is no company we do not have job. But even if we work hard if our boss is not happy we cannot remain peacefully. So it is better to work to satisfy immediate boss and then for the sake of company. good day

Hi- Ravi, I hope you'll not mind my saying so that I would not stay in a company where I would butter my boss in place of looking for the progress of the company. I would not stay in such a company for a moment. Cheers.

Sometimes, keeping your boss to be impressed with your work means that you don't love your job, you are just working because of your boss. Workign for the company is really better. By working for it, you boss will defintely have the impression that you are working by your heart and not just to impress them. I hope I may sound correct.

Great point too asdomencil.. A true devoted employee should not be conscious on how a boss perceived his/her works, but rather just work hard and well then everything will follow..

I do both. I work for the company by trying to find ways to improve it or save them money and I work for my boss trying to impress her and show her what I can do and how hard I work so I can someday either use her as a reference for another job or she can help me gain rank at where I work right now! It is a win win for everyone from the company to me

i always work with my besyan with everthing i know for he company. And the truth as i see here is when i perform well for my company i also reflct to my boss tht i am loyal to him or er becase i do well and itis also his or her credit thatcis reflecred when presented inthe organization as a whole. I see te do.ino effect of this actually... That when you do your best for your work you do it for yourself and for your company and also to your boss.

I am working for the company and for my boss. I do my work well not only for the benefit of the company but also to impress my boss. I believe the two go together. Working in a company doesn't fall only for the company itself but of course for the boss. Thus working our best for the company will surely impress our boss. It might help us gain the respect and trust from the boss since he or she could see the hard work we are doing for the company. Aside from the respect and trust of course, it might possible help us gain better compensation and might lead to promotion. Have a good day!

I work for the company boss only comes second and would you believe it that I some times rule over even boss if I do not feel that he is right. I am lucky enough to say that he does not mind much because he knows that I take right decisions most of the times.
