Yeah, the moringa tree provides one of the most healthy leafy food out there. It was also endorsed by the World Health Organization as food to fight malnutrition in the areas in Africa. Moringa oleifera or commonly known as malunggay in the Philippines has also been endorsed by some senators before as part of the program against malnutrition. Also, growing malunggay is quite easy too. Now, many products are already derived from it like malunggay ice cream, noodles and pan de sal. Yes, some crushes and dries out the leaves to make it into powder to easily garnish in different varieties of food and also include in capsules and drinks. However, the nutritional value of the malunggay tree is greatly reduced by drying especially its vitamin C content. But still, dried malunggay leaves is a great source of nutrients.
