Dogs have been documented mothering cats, piglets, and even baby tigers.
Elbert Bristow owner of Molly a two-year old American Bulldog was amazed that Molly is taking care of a bunch of hungry kittens. When mother cat Kitty Kitty was hit by a car, Molly allowed her four orphaned kittens to nurse.
Bristow says the kittens follow Molly around just like she was their mom. On top of that Molly have puppies of her own since she and Kitty Kitty gave birth just a day apart.
It does amaze me on how animals sometimes take care of each other. Molly is a loving dog and she is motherly for the kittens.

The first thing that I have to point out about this situation is that this goes to show that bulldogs don't always deserve to have the bad reputation that so many people have of them. We've had several of them in my life and they are the most loving dogs that we've ever had.
It is amazing that this dog did decide to mother the kittens after their mother was killed and I would imagine those kittens and also her puppies will never have the dog-cat war that so many people think about regarding the two different animals.
