I am petsitting and in total for this weekend is suppose to be $105 but I got $100. I happen to be talking to an old coworker at the time. She said complain they shorted you $5. I told her no, one they took 1 dog with them this weekend, so I'm only babysitting 2 instead of 3. Its $5 and I mean they've been so great to me, and like I said 1 less dog its like babysitting children if they arnt there why get paid for them you know.

For $5 it wouldn't be worth it. Maybe they assumed since they only left 2 dogs it would be cheaper, or maybe it was an oops and they forgot to give you the $5. If it was more than 5 than I would say something!

I agree its $5 and the fact I'm staying in their house is well over $5. I mean I can watch tv, ac while here, shower, and sometimes they leave food. If it was a large amount I would say something.

definatley not worth the 5 bucks to say anything, just keep what you got. sounds really fun to get paid and use someone elses house for a weekend.

I agree with you on this one as you did make a nice amount of money anyway and the job was easier than you expected. Also if you made a fuss about the $5 I am sure they would never use you again so better to just accept and move on. Perhaps $5 to your old co-worker was really that important?

I agree, they are kind to me its well over $5. I assumed I would be making less as I have 2 instead of 3 dogs. I think you are right, my friend lives on disability so she doesn't know the meaning of working, and value of earning it. Eiether way she gets a cheque to pay all her bills in the end, I don't and I'm hoping job to job right now as there isn't steady work. She doesn't understand that and $5 is nothing compared to if I lost this job.

Only shorting you $5.00 is fair in my opinion. Maybe they figured since you had one less to sit with, you know? I mean they could have shorted you $10, but $5? meh it's nothing to worry about, so I agree with you don't worry about it. $5.00 is the difference between keeping that gig or getting "let go" because of a measly $5.00 you know?

I don't think that I would complain about the five dollars at all because it really is a drop in the bucket when it comes to the money that you were making. In addition to that, if you were to complain about what you made on the job being short, there is a chance that you would lose a customer. By not complaining about the error, there is a good chance that these customers will be likely to recommend your services to other people.

Hi Ricki, I agree. It's not worth it to complain. You have one less dog to care for. They might have intentionally shorted you or it might have been they forgot. They didn't mention it to you.. so I assume they might have forgot. In any event they are more than good to you, plus they always say to help yourself to the food in the fridge. I know you bring your own.. but just saying they are good to you. No point in complaining when you have such a good gig.

They didn't mention anything and I just assumed it was because there was 1 less dog. They have been so nice to me, and $5 isn't worth a hassle.

Yea, I wouldn't be put off by the $5., as you said they took the one dog with them and plus having all that other stuff available to you at no extra charge, the A/C, shower and such it is a blessing. I wish I had that kind of job, wow, you're so lucky. Where did you find this job offer anyways? I'm in the wrong kind of work.

yeah 5 dollars is not a big loss. best not to complain and risk losing your job over it.
