Do you consider those around you?

I'm petsitting I must admit the houses are close together. But peopel walk down the street screaming, the neighbours blaring music, and their dog barking. Its almost midnight here and some of u I.e me have to get up at 7am. I personally after a certain time will quiet down. I use to work midnights so my nights off I would be up all night. I would quietly be outside, or watching tv.

I do always try to be considerate of those people that are around me. The reason that I do that is because of the fact that I think that if we are considerate of other people, then they are more likely to be considerate of us. The one thing that I've had the biggest issue with in our neighborhood is the dog's barking. My old dog that passed away last year was one that loved to bark and when I would let her outside during the day, she would bark at anything and everything. This caused an issue with our next door neighbor because of the fact that she does work third shift.

I agree if your considerate to them, they are more likely to be considerate to you. But there are some people who are just outright rude. I can relate to your neighbour, I use to work days and midnights at two different jobs. My neighbours use to let their dog out, and I was ready to go over and punch them. I had gone over a few times and nicely explained she purposely did it. So in the middle of the night on my days off I went outside and made sure she was awake.

As I type, I have loud partying neighbors celebrating a kiddie bday party. They have been partying all afternoon and night and it is 9:16 now. I'm assuming even the kids will still be up past 10 p.m. and they will all be listening to loud music on and off, etc. They don't consider others at all, but I would. They are the loudest neighbors along with the ones around the corner too lately, on July 4th they kept firing off fireworks past 10 p.m. and didn't care that some of us get up at 7 a.m. like I have to. I only have to cause that is what time I'm woken up by talking, etc here in the other rooms with others up at that time. Otherwise I would be in bed til maybe 10 or so. These early birds here tire me out, they eat the worst food, etc. How ironic for an early riser having the worst diets!

Yes some people just don't care. I am living in a very quiet area and I will be moving to a seniors home so I will also be in a quiet area.

I think most places here in the US have a sound ordinance of 10 pm. If it's loud after that they can call the cops and have the cops come and tell them to be quiet. I don't know how it works up there. I think that at 9 pm people should be quiet and respect others. After all some have to be up early, even earlier then 7 am.

I used to live in a neighborhood like that. It seemed that no one ever went to sleep, especially on weekends. I eventually got used to it, so much so that, when I moved to a quieter neighborhood, I almost couldn't sleep because it was too quiet! Now, I'm living way out in the country. I have neighbors but none of them can be seen from our house, at least not now with all the leaves on the trees. We rarely hear anyone out here, just the sounds of nature. It took me 55 years to finally get a place like this, though. I've lived in all kinds of neighborhoods, most of them had at least one bunch of neighbors who were totally inconsiderate of everyone else and didn't care how loud they were. I was raised to be considerate. I even do my best to keep my dogs quiet after 10 p.m. I never could understand anyone who showed no consideration for anyone else.

I try to be considerate of people around me, whether in a situation like yours (considering their sleep schedules), or just in conversation (considering their feelings and opinions). I understand that some people don't, and that's just something you have to deal with, but I try to keep my family from being the cause of someone not getting sleep in our neighborhood. Now, currently, we're babysitting a very vocal Pitt Bull. He's keeping some of the neighbors up at night, but we try really hard to keep him quiet at night.

Oh yes! I do consider those around me, specially when I have to study my piano lessons, in my grandmas piano, I study at almost 11 pm that is when I have time to study, but, but, but, I lower the piano volumen with the pedal. LOL. On mid june my daughter was 14 and she had a party, we asked her to turn off the music at 11 pm. LoL. Sometimes my neighbors have parties late night. I have to put cotton on my ears passing midnight. I wish I could do the same to them, but scly, I canĀ“t, because I learnt from my parents to consider those around me. Blessings ricki... dainy
