Big Winner of PBB Teen Edition #4 MYRTLE: Deserving or Not?

The one who has been tested on her conviction was the one who became the big winner of teen edition #4 of Pinoy Big Brother. Yes it was Myrtle who grabbed the title and the prize.
I just watched the PBB big night while ago though I am not follower of this show anymore unlike before for some reason. The ratio of percentage that many people doesn't want her to become a big winner is also a proportion to the percentage that she deserves to become big winner. She garnered the highest percentage among the 3.
Last night while I am browsing the facebook there was a page saying that he have lost his respect to Myrtle because of the test that she needs to put the flag on the pedestal if she believes that she deserves to become a big winner but she has to sacrifice and break the things of her housemate to make herself to become a big winner. So she did that, unlike the 3 other housemates they didn't really do that because they don't want to destroy the things of their other housemates in order for them to believe that they deserve to become a big winner. I think that is the thing that other people decide to vote for her to evict. She really did her explanation regarding the reason that why she needs to break the materials of her other housemates. A lot of people were disappointed to her decision. But in her case she was a confused teen if her decision was right or wrong. As for me in my own opinion there are real life situations that sometimes we are not aware of the decision that may affect other people. So we have to think million times before to made our own decision.
Now she has the title many people react to the extent that the trending topic on twitter is now #HindiKaDeservingMyrtle and it was the top hot topic that can be also seen around the world. Even though it is not understandable by many people but then it can't avoid the fact that it still have the negative aspect or bad impression by other people.
In the end we have to accept the reality and we must be really sports. It is a game to begin with.

I am not even a fan of PBB Teens, nor the whole PBB franchise. EVER SINCE. I only get to see some of the episodes because my sister avidly watches it. And frankly, until now I still can't find the entertainment factor that this show could be exhibiting. Even more frankly, I am quite irritated with this particular season because of the attitude of most of the housemates. I'm like, what is the sense of this show? I could agree with how Vice Ganda used the "PBB teens" as a euphemism for outright flirting...
But anyway, as for the results... I don't really want to sound antagonistic with this matter, but what do we expect? People have seen her attitude inside the house, whatever they have seen, and it made them dislike her... Still, some people end up liking her, and that may have been the reason why she won. Each of us may have their own opinion about this, but we can do nothing to change the results... You are right, it is a game. Sadly, I think it is only what it is: a game.

That is the reason why I don't like to watch that PBB anymore because ever since all I could see were flirting to each other. Which I think that is what Laurenti Dyogi likes because that is his forte. But I hope they will realized that it is becoming dragging already. Unlike the previous editions at least I've learned something it can be also moral values. But this time? no way anymore, when I am seeing some episodes all I can hear is yelling like they are seeing celebrities on the concert everyday. I don't want to be that antagonist as well since I am not watching it anymore and I already knew their tactics. I mean expect it for next edition there is flirting again then the scenario would be like a guy housemate has gf outside then a girl housemate is flirting her. Honestly it already makes me think that it is just scripted and I don't totally believe with that scenario anymore. It was like the housemates are obliged to flirt inside the PBB house for the sake of ratings.

I can see what you mean... Although like I've mentioned, I am not an avid fan of the TV show, but now I have gotten even lesser impressed on it because of the previous season. You're right, it's as if they were doing it for the sake of the higher ratings, for the sake of getting attention from the whole Filipino nation. I now understand why some of us tend to patronized the foreign TV shows instead... PBB Teens, especially this latest edition serves as one strong reason. Thank God, it is not the only TV show available in the local networks.

I do not like Myrtle. I was telling my daughter that I would be happy with whoever wins except Myrtle. I am not very comfortable with her since the start of the PBB. Most of the time my favorites won in PBB like Kim, Melai and lately Slater. This time around I was not really happy with the winner but I don't have any valid reasons not to like Myrtle. Maybe there are some people whom I instinctively dislike. I thought I was the only one but I found out that most of my Facebook friends had the same thoughts. I did not like how she decided to destroy the things of her housemates just to put her flag on the winner's pedestal. However, the big night is over and Myrtle has won. No big deal actually.

we are in the same boat. As for me, the past winners in pbb were so likable that's why i feel that they were deserving in getting the title. With myrtle's case, i actually don't like her to win. I find her pretentious and unnatural. Yes, she has the wit but I don't like the way she showed her emotions inside the house, exaggerating and too over! People called it "OA' . I think that's the only reason why she've lost her charms on me.

I could imagine that she is another version of Wendy Valdez and the worst case is that she became a big winner. Good thing if she has so much haters then it couldn't be as much as Wendy has before. That is the problem about the text voting basis that anyone can win even the person that is not deserving.

I'm not a follower of the show, but I'm aware of it's existence because of my niece who happens to be a PBB teens addict. I guess, she has the qualities of a winner but not of a champion. I can say that her decision to burn the stuff of other housemates is quite disappointing. It simply shows that she'll do anything and everything to achieve her goal even with expense of other people. When I heard my son and niece talked about this, I told them that we should respect, at all times, other people's property. We should avoid stepping on other people just to achieve our goal. And to remember the saying "Don't do unto other what you don't want others do unto you".

I like your point there. That is the reason why Myrtle gained dislikes or others are hating her already it was because of the task regarding the burning of other things for the sake of being a big winner. 
It also makes me think what if her money or things that she worked too hard will be in exchange whenever her child will be kidnapped someday. To the extent like she has no other choice but to give those hard earned things to save her child. Though it will be her decision now and a big challenge for her if that is the case. Now she had the title and the prize as well.

I like myrtle. i did watch first few episodes of the program but dint really follow it, but I was able to watch last weekend which was the announcement of the BIG WINNER. She deserves it, she has the personality that represents the youths. Shes impulsive and very typical teenager. people would always have something to say in anything. so, to each his own and you cant please everybody. you just have to respect the turnout of votes which evidently favored to myrtle. just let those nega people say whatever they want to say. it will pass. I just hope myrtle will become a kim chiu in the future since kim chiu is a product of the said program.

I don't really watch the show but the lady of the house likes it so I've no choice but watch the show myself. I've seen that particular episode where each contestant will have to choose whether to destroy the things that the other contestants hold dear in exchange of becoming the winner. I think that's not an easy task but that's what separates myrtle from the rest who chose to play it safe. I think the main reason why she became the winner is because of her wit, she explained herself well and people believed her because everyone can see that there were no pretensions, she's a natural and i think even the network can see her potential to succeed in showbiz.

That is good opinion about Myrtle. Despite of the other things that other people have seen like being a flirt then I believe she can be witty as well and being a cosplayer would be advantage in showbiz career. Of course just like Alodia Gosiengfiao.

OMG!!To be honest, I really don't like Myrtle being the PBB Grand winner. Some of Big brother's task inside the house, she didn't even finish.. I thought it was Roy. Actually my bet was either Roy or Karen.. but as what everybody says, that each and everyone of them are deserving.. hmmm.. I'll check out those Myrtle haters..

Well I think we should respect her opinion since the exercise was just to test how determined is she winning the game. I think she just have to express her opinion about it and she took different choice from the majority. I think having that is something we should try to respect.
I think all of the 4 remaining deserve to win but of course there could only be one that can be declared the winner. I think Jai and Joj are deserving for being so clam and neutral amongst the housemates. They were able to maintain in harmony with almost everybody in the house avoiding being nominated in the house. Roy for being so helpful in the house that he was able to show how diligent and hardworking he was in the house. For Karen for just being her, She showed herself through her talent and being vocal in her opinions and accepting the faults of of others.
Finally for Myrtle that stood her ground in her principles. Although there were moments that she lost it but then in the end she always tried to correct whatever it was and I think that was the thing I admired about her. Her being flirtatious in the house was unintended and was misinterpreted by many in the house especially because of her different amongst the rest of the housemates.

Well I guess we have to respect that since it was I think a decision made by the masses that supported her was more than those that hated her.
Even Kuya or Big Brother told the group that there is not right or wrong asnwer in the decision they made. I think it is just right that we the spectators respect their decision. I think that the purpose of that last exercise was just to test if they are willing to go out of the box and nothing else. I think she answered well in her decision to destroy her housemates things.
As for being flirtations inside the house I think we can see others that were more flirt than she was. She stood her ground although I think in the mix of feelings inside she got tempted to the point as well. But I do not see her flirtatious or anything inside the house.
I know their family is well to do already and they probably would not be in dire need prize as in the case of Roy or Jai and Joi or Karen, but I think the contest was not about who needs the prize but who deserves it. Besides all the four housemates got money from it so it is just a matter of how they will use the money won that will matter in here.

At least Myrtle can use her prize for the cosplay because it is really costly as in COSTplayer. In being the flirtatious at times I still have second thoughts if that is totally true. There are some things that I find it scripted already though will never know.

My daughter likes her, so its fine for me. Everybody is deserving since they did learn a lot of things inside the house. Teenagers are really impulsive. They are still confused and experimenting what will happen or what will be the result if they do certain things. In life, we have a lot of choices to make and if thats her decision then lets respect it. People are different from each other after all. Se did played the game well since her personality is really great. Like she plans everything ahead and sets her goals as her priority. I just wished that they just accept it, if they think she`s not deserving then just don`t support her anymore, not to the extent of giving her an embarrassment to the whole world. Lets be sport. We sure did a lot of mistakes in our life, especially when we are teenager. It`s just it was not telecast so we must not play safe

She fought fairly and she just did what she thought was right. Each has his or her opinion. In the test where they were ask to destroy the things important to each contestants, she explained her reasons why she had to get rid of those things and her reasons are good enough. It is a test where there is no right or wrong answers. All of them acted according to what their heart desires and all of them have good reasons for acting what they thought was right

Yeah it is not her fault if she was able to win the game but it is the decision of the people that they want her to win. To begin with she is still a teenager who is being easily tempted without knowing the repercussion. We all learn lessons from our mistakes.

i have watched this until the big night came and proclaimed who is PBB big winner during that time,actually for me myrtle is deserving to win rather than to other PBB candidates,and also myrtle was a people's choice too that's why she won for the poll text.

i did not watch pbb fully but from the bits and pieces that I have seen, I did not like myrtle at all. I dont know she just did not fit the title of big winner because she did not do something extra ordinary like sacrifice for her housemates. she just destroyed things and flirted with yves. I also dont trust completely the text votes because as we know those who are into cosplays are rich and have money for text votes.

Yeah you are right there, the cosplayers can spend too much money for voting that they can even beat the number of text votes who doesn't like Myrtle or who likes her to evict. That is the power of money that anybody can win even a person who is not deserving.

I really want Karen or the twins to won. For some instance, i would like Roy to be the winner for him to alleviate their financial condition. But let's just accept the fact.. grr, i don't like the attitude of myrtle of flirting two guys at the same time (Kit and Yves) LOL hahaha

Good thing I didn't bother to watch and follow the episodes of PBB. There are some of my friends on my facebook who are complaining that teens are over acting and they keep on flirting and flirting. Looks so disgusting if that is the case and what can I learn about them? The edition of Kim Chiu was still the best because they are not flirting to each other, aside from that they tend to help and cooperate with each other. The of course Kim deserves to win.

I guess that incident of destroying her housemates things to be able to put her flag on the big winner. I think they all have decided correctly based on their decision and we should not judge her because she think differently amongst other housemates. I know we Filipinos are fond of doing "pakikisama" and being euphemistic.
I guess that is the reason why there were many who supported her as well as hated her because the decision was quite controversial and I think it put her on both good and bad light when she decided it.
I have nothing against her being the grand winner. She may have lacked showing her true self there but then the show is just plain and simple, aside from showing who you really are in the end the question is do you really want to be the big winner in the game and I think she answered it honestly.
