internet doomsday this july 9?

i have heard from the news that people can't access the net tomorrow and the days of your lives come. i feel like this is just a hoax at first but when i read a couple articles here, they seemed so true.
Thousands could lose access to the Internet on July 9 due to a virus, DNSChanger, that once infected approximately 4 million computers across the world.Once the FBI shut down the operation, it built a safety net of new servers to redirect traffic from those infected with the virus.But that safety net is going offline next Monday meaning that anyone who is still infected with the virus will lose access to the Internet unless they remove it from their machine.
how do you feel about this?

flagella: I don't suppose you remember the Y2K scam, the date fixing thing at the start of the millenium? That really cost billions of Dollars - all spent voluntarily by idiots who believed what government agancies told them! And what did happen then? NOTHING.

nothing happened to my computer on July 9th, I didn't have any problems connecting to the internet.

it's just a hoax actually and w still we're all still enjoying the internet. Remember the Y2K scare? It came and went without much of a whimper because of adequate planning and analysis of the situation. Impressive movie special effects aside, Dec. 21, 2012, won't be the end of the world as we know. It will, however, be another winter solstice. and here comes july 9 which is far away from truth.believing in this hoax should not be an alarm to anyone but being cautious is a good attitude.
