Since I got married I realized that it would be healthy for my family to cook healthy foods. Now we avoid buying fried foods outside, since we do not know the process of how they cook. My husband loves to eat seafoods paella, that is why I cooked him with this delicious food. My family enjoy it.

Its really healthy to cook your own food at home. We also cook hours everyday. I make this weekly menu for a week then go to market and grocery (if needed) once a week. I usually go to grocery twice a month to save time and money. It is better to cook your own food because you can choose healthy foods and you are sure that it is clean and safe.

The only problem that I experienced during cooking with menu is the pork, We encountered pork that is not fresh then turns blue after 2-3 days in the refrigerator. We go to market once a week.

We ONLY GO TO market once a week and some pork is not fresh, we discover it when we cooked it.

We put the pork meat at the freezer so it won't be spoiled easily. Also, we already cut it to pieces and put in separate containers so we don't have to thaw the whole piece then put it back to the freezer which just stimulates the growth of microorganisms.

I think that's a good thing and it will teach the kids to eat healthy and only eat take away foods once in a while. I'm the same, I dont' eat a lot of fried foods and things and cook more at home. You just don't know what's added in food these days. I think also it's better to grow your own food as well because you won't use any nasty chemicals like some places do.
Paella sounds really yummy

You are right, I love what I am doing and my family enjoys it. Buying outside can cause us sickness because of bacteria. We do not know if they cook the food with clean surroundings.

Oh yeah there is that too. If you can't see into their kitchen and what they are doing it can be a risk too. You can only hope that they are doing the right thing by their customers and keep everything clean!

That is certainly great. There is really a difference when you cook your own food rather than rely on buying foods made outside. You can never tell how they are prepared. When you cook your own food, you can also save since most of the foods you buy are practically expensive. I try my best to cook for our family when I have the time. My wife does cook but I think I'm a better cook than my wife.

My husband is also a good cook and he prefers cooking with natural ingredients than buying commercial one.

Fresh made food is always the best. I have been diabetic for a long time now. I have no choice but to eat healthy. I still, from time to time have some fried foods, but I basically bake all my food in the oven. No salt is used and no sugar. I try and stay away from breads, pastas and any kind of cake. After all, all those carbs turn into pure sugar in the system. And healthy eating has changed the way I look at food. I no longer have a desire to go and eat McDonald's or Burger King. That stuff will kill you. Lots of vegetables and chicken. Fish is great also, but in moderation. Do not need an overload of mercury. And I do eat pork which is better the beef. But I do have a steak now and then. Continue what you're doing.

Hi friend, good to hear that you are cooking for your family members. As you mentioned the fast food items are not good for our health, we must take care of our family health and cook food by ourself

Buying food from restaurants, you don't know what goes into them. The employees could even be sick and sneeze on your food and make you sick. Foods like that are so processed and so full of chemicals and fat that it's no wonder people are so fat in the past 20 years.
It's great that you cook at home. If you have children you can share that skill with them and have all kinds of fun--I enjoyed teaching my boys how to cook and they were quite creative, too.
I try to avoid eating away from home and also avoid frozen foods when I can. Eating fresh foods is one of the best ways to stay healthy and feel great.

That's a good realization! I think I started cooking most healthiest when we had kids . . . that's one of the top priorities for feeding the family now! I admit we will eat the fried foods from a restaurant every now and then - but certainly not like we used to. Home cooking is healthier by far! OMG - I would love to make paella at home - a seafood one would be awesome too - just haven't been brave enough to make it!

I love to cook. I used to cook our packed lunch too. We tried to avoid buying foods from the canteens and fast foods. This will help us prevent eating too much preservatives which is really bad for our health. Furthermore, we used to search for some recipe to make our homemade foods like tocino and longganisa. Aside for assurance that your food is clean, you are also assure that the one you are using is free of extenders and preservatives.

That is very good idea because health is really important. If I am going to get married soon then I would really plan for the healthy food as well. I don't really like fried and the process food because it is really unhealthy.

I can see that your a good cook, nice and health conscious wife, it good to know that you also cooking healthy foods. When i got married I think i am not cooking healthy food at first until my husband got gallbladder stone and underwent surgery last year. After the surgery I started to cook healthy food because I don't want to compromise my husband and my own health anymore. Now I always served steam vegetables, fish and lots of fruits as much as possible I avoided fry, fatty and saucy foods.
